I can’t find one solid track on this album, it’s too soft. The word ‘baby’ is used a lot and what’s with the ‘House of Cards’ track. I can’t hear any track with the same name as Radiohead’s ‘House of Cards’ track. Nothing compares. Very frustrating album.
Haha. I can see where Wells Baum is coming from, tho. This is definitely not an album for your average Foreign Exchange fan. It is indeed a softer album than Connected. Phonte & Nicolay definitely pushed the envelope a little further with this one. I like it, though. Shows growth and vision. I think the whole purpose of Foreign Exchange is to give Phonte an outlet to try other things beyond the conventional stuff he does in Little Brother. This is typically what side projects offer for artists with other musical interests.
You guys are crazy! This is an excellent album! If you were looking for a hip hop album go get the new Q-Tip album. It was very well produced and well written. Nicolay does great work and all the tracks with Muhsinah are outstanding! Put the album on, light one, and I am sure you will be satisfied…

Damn you just don’t understand. It’s a vibe you either do get or don’t. For me this album contains a couple of superb, melodic tracks.
To each his own I guess..
