Inglewood, CA native Casey Veggies dropped his “Customized Greatly Vol. 2″ album last summer. This fresh ass track “Rollin By” was on there and was produced by ya boy Polyester The Saint and Fresh Chuck Daily for HellaGooD productions. The video was released yesterday and I gotta holla at P for those slick ass Black Caeser sunglasses. You might have seen those before on Erykah Badu in Shafiq Husayn‘s video, but that’s because Steve ‘Thundercat’ Bruner designs these. Imma have to pick one up this summer! In case you missed it…it’s a FREE download. Video after the jump.

Jonathan Kim shot this video while he was at sound check for his gig at the Elbo Room in San Francisco with funky worm Exile this past week. As they came into the venue, he saw Exile and Teeko jamming out on their respective equipment, and he was impressed to say the least. Teeko has been making some noise with his group F.A.M.E. as well as recently working with Mark Ronson in NY for his upcoming album. Exile is coming with his “Radio Remix” album so keep an eye out for that. Great to see two artists come together, and create some amazing music together.
Kidkanevil sent us his “Basho Basho” album months ago, but my man Nev was too busy talking about coffee…as always. So on the late tip we bring you this Red Bull Music Academy participant who goes by the name of Kidkanevil. The 28-year-old beat maker has been keeping himself busy with the release of his new album “Basho Basho”which recently dropped on First Word Records. Fellow RMBA participant TOKiMONSTA (Brainfeeder) dropped a remix on us of the first leak called “Megajoy”. In case you were wondering where to buy…head on over to his Bandcamp or check out [Artwork: Matt Bailey..]

I know we’ve all been waiting for Georgia Anne Muldrow‘s latest album “King’s Ballad” to drop and here it is at last! I browsed through it myself rather quickly, but I think it’s definately worth taking a listen to. You can hear she went her own way on this album and for those that love the old Georgia Anne…you might not love this album that much. I do think that this is a more mature album and eventhough it sounds more poppy, it has a couple of heavy hitters on it! Take this ballad with Dudley Perkins“Summer Love” for instance. That right there is my summer 2010 joint fo sho. Head on over to Rushhour to buy the CD or get yourself a copy on vinyl!

I’m really glad the legendary BTS Radio is back. Andrew Meza started a movement in our genre. And if you forgot about it, or never got the chance to check it out, it won’t be a waste of time if you check the BTS archive in the next few months. Now Andrew started where he left off and will continue to bring you quality mixes/podcasts. Up first…. Ras G..AIRHORN!!
Ras G is a commanding force in Los Angeles and a classic example of what artistry is. Always pushing his production limits and bending his sound to a point that really make you believe he’s from outer space. His live shows have a reputation of blowing out sound systems and shaking walls to the point of deterioration.
This exclusive set for BTS is only a taste of the destruction he can bring to speakers…Take cover. Tracklist after the jump.

On 8th /9th February 2010, Gil Scott-Heron will release his new album “I’m New Here” on groundbreaking independent label XL Recordings. Produced by XL label owner Richard Russell, “Im New Here” is Scott-Heron’s first album in thirteen years.
“I’m New Here” sees Scott-Heron reflecting on his life with his trademark vocal power and insight, sharing his visions among Russell’s flickering, electronic soundscapes.
The pair started recording the album in 2007, with the majority of the record being recorded over the last twelve months in New York at Clinton Studios. Truly one of the most inspiring albums of the year..

NewJose James video dropped yesterday via Brownswood. “Code” was produced by Flying Lotus and taken from Jose’s “Blackmagic” album. Video is directed by Mike Vargas and Moni Pineda. I case you hadn’t noticed the album is out now via Rushhour!
GoldieLocks is at it again. This 2008 Red Bull Music Academy participant is really beginning to blow up around in the UK. Yesterday she dropped her “I’m Not Her” EP on her own label Gut Instinct. On this EP there’s honestly one tune that really stands out for me. I’m not a huge fan of the poppy music, but as soon as she teams up with Dubstep legend Benga to create a track I’m with it. Really liking “Green Eyes” so enjoy this one. Visit Goldie’s website to buy the CD or check out the digital release on iTunes.

DMV duo DTMD (producer Dunc & MC Toine) have released their debut release “The Basics” EP. You might gave heard Dunc contributie on Diamond District’s critically acclaimed album “In The Ruff”. Toine on the other hand did a feature on Oddisee‘s “Oddisee 101″ album. Oddisee speaks higly of these cats and lets us know they ain’t even 21 yet and already this dope. Just imagine what they’ll be on when they can drink legally?
I’m not really on that reviewing tip right now, so I suggest you head on over to their Bandcamp to download this EP for free and judge for yourself. I do know you’re not going to be disappointed at all. Both productionally and lyrically this is one to watch and not to be slept on. Once again mad props to Osmanologie for making us hip to this…
