“Busy’s new effort, uInverse is an aural journey into the realm of superconsciousness. It explores soundscapes of both immense and minuscule scales, all of which balance between beauty and disaster. Over the course of the experience, the listener is taken through a vision quest or “Hanblechia” in the Lakota language. The album shifts between ethereal, turbulent and crushingly massive sounds. It ventures out of the mind, through an ever-changing, infinite labyrinth, into verge of nothingness, and comes full circle back to the self”. Now that’s deep… uInverse is available for pre-order on Tasteful Licks Records (USB with full album (320kps) + extra’s)..out 3-22-2011.

In 2009 the first mothership landed. Starship 27 was filled with musical crazyness and curated by J1. Shortly after the first compilation album was released, the eclectic Texas label iNsect Records, got in contact with him and talked about a possible follow-up. A few years later “Starship 27 Vol. 2: Take Off” returns with J1 again as it’s curatorial captain, guiding the spacecraft on its musical voyage. On board we find artists such as DaM-FunK, I-Ced, Dibia$e, P.U.D.G.E., Devonwho, House Shoes, Eric Lau, Computer Jay, Ras-G, Blackspade & Coultrain (and more). For those wondering why this unexplained phenomenon is called the Starship 27. J1 replied, “the secret to the name will be revealed on the 3rd installment of the trilogy…next year”. So stay tuned, mark the 29th on your calendar and get ready for some heavyweight beats.

Just had to do this follow-up post, because I’m digging Amalia‘s album too much. Congratz miss on your debut “Art Slave” album that released today. How stupid fresh is this boogie joint “Welcome To Me”?! It’s actually so good, I’ve listened to it at lease 10 times. And I rarely play a song twice nowadays. Never expected people were still able to make this kind of shit, but Opo and Amalia got the f0nK! Visit for your digital fetish or hit the Tokyo Dawn shop to buy the CD…not now, but right now!

From the land of the rising sun, it’s the producer we know as Kan Sano dropping another hot one. You might remember his contribution to the “Cosmopolyphonic” compilation…I know we do. Not sure, but I think this new joint “Dream In” will be released on Circulations later this year. Correct me if I’m wrong Dai-san!

Hailing from Los Angeles, KING, is an organic trio of young women. Paris, Amber and Anita met by chance in Boston and were destined to make music together. Their debut project is called “The Story” EP and sounds a bit like a modern-day fairytale. The EP dropped today so get it via if you dig.

Always fly and swingin’ his hair to L.A.’s gentle spring time breeze. It’s the homie DaM-FunK aka the ambassador of Boogie Funk with some new freebie funk. Love the way he gets down on “Stayin’ Super Fly” which sounds extra crispy and sucka free. It was available on Damon’s Soundcloud, but he reached the maximum amount of downloads. Thought we’d upload it for all who missed out.
