You might have caught Slakah‘s last beat tape (Beat Tape Vol. 3) as a Slept on Sundays post. It’s time already for volume 4, so sit back and enjoy a shitload of low bitrate previews. Thanks to Luigi-Bo for the heads up and be on the prowl for this upcoming project Hazel told us about together with Slakah. Please read Slakah’s side note!

These are not mix tapes…they are my beat catalogs, hence the low bit rate (try jacking that you beat jackers). Originally, I privately sent these out but they gained popularity and now are in circulation….beats are still for sale. The beats are preview quality and are NOT FREE. Email beatchildmusic.beats@gmail.com to purchase any of these beats EXCLUSIVELY. Otherwise, enjoy the grooves.

With Record Store Day just around the corner (this Saturday) we thought you might appreciate this brand new promotional video from our Analog friends. It is on this day that thousands of people show their love for the other black gold. Together with young videographer Noël Schoolderman, Analog has created several promotional video’s showcasing their love for vinyl. In case you’ve missed the previous video’s…don’t sweat. They can be found here and here.

Take a peak at the inside of a vinyl pressing plant and follow one of the freshly pressed records to it’s new home (by way of a record shop of course). And for those wondering when the next Analog party is going to take place. No worries. Because they will return later this year…bigger & better!

Jennifer Lee aka TOKiMONSTA prefers to work late – or early, depending on how you look at it. Most of her music is made between two and seven in the morning, because at that time of night “my mind works in strange and mysterious ways”. Hence the title of this EP, a series of warm but decidedly woozy pieces of music, the soundtrack to the oddest, most beautiful dreams you’ve ever had. From the bouncing bass-beds of Bright Shadows, the Cocteau’s-meet-LA-Beat of Darkest (Dim) (like Little Pleasures, featuring the exquisite vocals of Gavin Turek), on into Moving Forward (which sounds like the music R2D2 makes love to), the driving, relentless beat of Day Job, this is an EP suffused with both warmth and creativity. Creature Dreams will be out May 16th. The second stream is not on the EP, but is just a free track Toki released on her soundcloud. Brainfeeder

We never heard of Matthewdavid before he made the move from southern states to Los Angeles. As soon as the LA/Brainfeeder community embraced his sounds he catched our ears. Last month he released the  “International” EP and now he is back with his full album “Outmind”. The tracks on “Outmind” may seem abstract to some, but you just have to remember it’s all about the new waveforms that will float through your ears. Available April 18th on Brainfeeder.
