I had not always been very impressed with their label, but in the last few years they’ve honestly become one of my favorite independent labels. Their new “The Heart” Vol. 2 compilation is yet again filled with scrumptious new music from all over the globe. The “En Kärlekshistoria” EP is the result of two guys from Crenshaw and Slauson coolin’ out in Stockholm for twelve days. Co$$‘ new album, “Before I Awoke”, was highly anticipated by the whole Moovmnt gang. Now that it finally dropped, I can say I’m just a little disappointed. Perhaps I was expecting a lot, but in the end only felt like I got a little. Certainly not a bad album, but it does sound kinda dated to me at times. Best productions are from Chief and Fonetik, but I also like “Pot Ash” by Exile and “Burn It Down” by Cook Classics. Check out the album out on
