Something like four months ago, Soia (vocals) & MEZ (production) put the song “Obtaining” on their Soundcloud. It was only until a few weeks ago that the homie Front2blaq made me aware of this one. The Vienna-based artists are currently working together on their upcoming EP set to release next year. Kinda reminds me a little of some ’07 Kissey Asplund stuff, which is neither good nor bad. It just is. Oh well…again we slept on something for a while. That’s what these Sundays are for right?!

Last month Benny Tones told me to watch out for some new Julien Dyne music and behold. Volume two in the LA loves Japan trilogy was compiled by Hashim B and is again intended to raise money for all the victims of the earthquake in the land of the rising sun. For just $10 you get a whopping 26-track comp with music from Grooveman Spot, TOKiMONSTA, Mabanua, RLP, Monkey_sequence19, MFP and many others. Took me a while to get my hands on “LA♥JPN♥LA” Vol. 2, but I can tell you it’s just as dope as “LA♥JPN♥LA” Vol. 1. It came out today and is available on the Japanese and on Boomkat. Wasn’t quite sure if I should post this one or not, but whenever something gives me goosebumps I just go with my gut feeling. London singer/songwriter/cellist Ayanna released her new EP entitled “Truthfully” yesterday. Honestly this sent chills down my spine even though it’s not a style of music I would normally listen to. Ayanna wrote and arranged all songs herself, but got a little help on the productional side from Marc Mac (4hero). The song that stood out for me was “Let Me Go” with Robert Mitchell on piano. This gorgeous EP is available HERE.

Doing it in the park, doing it after dark oh yeah. So Oddisee‘s latest edition of what you’ve been missing is called “Rock Creek Park”. Heard a few other songs of the album, but when I heard “Mattered Much” featuring Olivier Daysoul and “Beach Dr.” I was truly impressed. Here’s two of those songs that can only be defined as beautiful. “Mattered Much” was actually not intended for the album, but Oddisee dug it out, realized it was meant to be on there after all and added the vocals to it. In case you were wondering it’s Andy Faus on guitar and Lucan’s Pipkin on strings. Oh and make sure to grab this free download and buy the whole album over at if you like what you’re hearing!
