I remember the days of Naked Music and Hed Kandi quite well. It was the late nineties and this was what we called US Garage or Deep House at the time. Now Miguel Migs was one of the biggest names back then and just two weeks ago he released a brand new album on O.M. Records. The production might not be something for everybody (a little slick at times), but perhaps the vocalists on this project might just make it worth your while after all. Some straight up quality singers such as Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lisa Shaw, Bebel Gilberto, Aya and Georg Levin are on Miguel Migs’ “Outside The Skyline” album which is available via . Personally I kinda enjoy this warm, dowtempo sound…slighty reminiscent of cats like Jazzanova.
