We’ve been keeping a close eye out for Arnhem’s most funk influenced producer for a while now. And it is with great pleasure to formally introduce to you Henning. One of those Dutch producers who should be on your radar and if he wasn’t, then I hope now he is. His new “Villains Day Off” joint is of the Evil Genius Soundsystem Volume 1 release which just came out. The project consists of Henning, Jaystar, City Lights and JeeJaa. Henning came correct with the best track on the whole release if you ask me though. You can snatch a free download here by the way.

Yesterday Mez hit me up with yet another dope song he and his buddy Jonny Sass recorded. Eventhough Jonny doesn’t have a lot of time to record, they managed to squeeze out “The Right Way”, which is available as a limited free download here. I must confess…kinda late with this one, but it just reached our inbox. It seems that Speek Greene is working on a compilation EP (that he’s co-producing) entitled “Rock Paper Soul”. No idea when this is coming out, but this Morris Alan joint produced by Kev Brown is sounding nice yo. Myele Manzanza, aka the quirky kiwi with the drumsticks, has not only held down the drums as part of Wellington’s Electric Wire Hustle for the past 3 years. He was also a participant at the 2010 Red Bull Music Academy in London. It was there he met fellow participant Amenta who features on his first single “Me I Know Him” together with Myele’s dad Sam Manzanza. The second single is called “Absent” and is now available as a free download over at Myele’s Bandcamp page. His full length debut album “One” will feature guest appearances from Mark de Clive-Lowe, Mara TK, Ladi6, Charlie K & Rachel Fraser and drops this Friday through Every Waking Hour. Again this mysterious Austrian producer who goes by the name of Mez (aka Mezuian) is comin’ correct with two new production. First song is “Do For You” with vocalist Jonny Sass and my favorite of the two songs below. Second is a new song with Soia called “Mood Swings” which also sounds pretty nice. I think it’s time for Mez to step out of the darkness and into the light. This guy deserves some more shine! Oh and if you hurry you can snag both songs from his Soundcloud page as a free download.

Union, also know as the duo OJ & Gold from Paris, have been on our radar for quite some time. With their latest “Analogtronics” album (which is out as of today) they’ve made their way on to our ‘shit these cats is tight’ list. Just loving that warm spacey electronic hip hop that they do so well. Lots of interesting features on this one too from MF Doom, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Guilty Simpson, Rapper Big Pooh, Moka Only and more. This is gonna be one of those albums you just have to get on or if you’re a vinyl head, I suggest you go for that super fresh looking (pink & teal) 2xLP available at Fatbeats!
