French Gangsta Funk producer Dogg Master is at it again. Together with Djë he produced “P-Funkin'” for Enois Scroggins, which will be on the upcoming “Cocktails” Vol. 4 (out on Doggy Phunk Palace later this week). Peep the video and make sure you get your Funk on properly!

Back in 2001 Lucy Pearl released their “Without You” single containing a super silky remix from Dwele and some rugged vocal additions from Detroit’s legendary Phat Katt. I remember being the biggest Dwele fan around that time especially after his immaculate two productions on the Bahamdia’s “BB Queen” EP. He was truly one some serious shit back then and I feel as if this remix never got the attention it deserved. That’s why we thought this would make a perfect Slept on Sundays joint for this weekend!

It is my pleasure to introduce you to a new duo from Paris of whom I had never heard before. Stanley Bloom (who hit us up via Facebook) & Mike Ro Wave very recently released their new “Pacific Shore” project which is an audiovisual journey inspired by a road trip through the state of California. Most of the music on this album stems from Funk, Soul and Hip Hop, but has a few electronic elements as well. The lovely miss Sarah Linhares from Montréal features on two songs of which “Road 1” is our favorite pick. We are giving away this one away as a free download, but for the rest of the album you need to visit Pacific Shore - Stanley Bloom & Mike Ro Wave of course.

M-Phazes has been dropping so much heat these past few years that he might needs to take a break before he burns a hole in our site. His remix of Hermitude‘s “Speak of the Devil” is bananas! It has that Disco feel to it and is drenched in Funk at the same time. Hermitude’s “Parallel Paradise” remix EP also contains a remix by the homie Ta-Ku and is available via Elefant Traks.

Freddie Joachim (JO-AH-KIM) collected some remixes and songs he had lying around and so “The Joachim Remixes” Vol. 5 was born. We already had some of the material on this compilation, but a free gift is always nice to receive right? So thank you Freddie. As usual we picked our two winners and are providing you with a direct download link.

Ooh lala, ah qui qui, it be Häzel from Paris. He mentioned his upcoming “The Lost Tapes” release a while back, but I just learned that it will be out on CD, Vinyl & Cassette on July 3rd. Now “Bosquito” is one of the bonus tracks on there and is available on Bandcamp as a limited free download. If you head on over to the-beatdown.com, you can already pre-order “The Lost Tapes”. We might be giving away a few CD’s, but more about that soon! In the meanwhile bump to this..
