Now we don’t have to school you guys on Omar…right? This legendary Soul singer has done so much over the past decades that he needs no introduction. You all might be interested to know that Freestyle Records is releasing a new single entitled, “The Man”, containing a few interesting remixes. Both Zed Bias and Shafiq Husayn deliver a fresh rework in their own style (more on this soon), but wait there’s more. Omar re-recorded the classic love song “There’s Nothing Like This” with the one and only Pino Palladino on bass! The single will be out May 27th, but enjoy a sneak preview below.

I’m usually not the type to cry “Wolf”, but let’s face it…can’t really ignore Tyler, The Creator anymore. On his upcoming album there’s at least one superb track called “Treehome95″ with miss Erykah Badu and Coco (Quadron) on the vocal tip. Gotta do a quick post, but will give the entire album a listen later this weekend. Thanks DJ Blue for the tip and If you like you can pre-order “Wolf” via iTunes.

KING‘s “In The Meantime” might just be the shortest piece of magice I’ve heard this year. Freakin’ goosebumps all over! I can’t even begin to describe how highly anticipated Paris, Amber, and Anita’s upcoming album really is. Seems only yesterday they blessed the world with their debut project “The Story”, but can you believe that was two whole years ago?! These 32 seconds are musically worth more to me than some peoples entire discography their new single is nothing short from..AMAZING!! Buy it now on iTunes or else..

You guys might remember Philip Owusu from his collaboration project with Robin Hannibal. A lot of you were probably wondering what happened to Owusu, but the producer from Denmark is back! He released his latest single entitled, “Goodnight”, earlier today for $1 via Bandcamp. Which is the first song of his upcoming solo album “SUBS” coming out shortly. Thanks to our friends over at Okayplayer you can now read a very nice interview with Owusu.

End of the month and we are droppin’ another Moovmnt Guest Mix! This time it’s a Birmingham-based DJ who goes by the name of Jayson Wynters from SOULfisticated. He is most comfortable in Neo Soul and Soulful sounding R&B music with a dash of soulful house. We thought Mr Wynters would be a perfect fit for our Moovmnt Guest Mix 02, but by all means you guys be the judge yourselves. Again we’d like to give thanks to Duktus for hooking us up with some great artwork. Snatch up a free download if you like.

Since we at Moovmnt are a bunch of romantic saps it felt like the right thing to do to say we really appreciate you all for your love and support over the past 5 years! Mr. Speak and I already had an idea in mind for a sexy soul mix, but we thought out the concept a bit more and decided to make it an extra special Valentine’s this year. We are giving you this “Musical Bouquet” mix containing over an hour of soul gems hand-picked from our record collections. Please spread the love and share this with your loved ones. Mad love to Speak for holdin’ it down on the wheels of steel and big up to all the heartbreakers and ass shakers out there.

‘We need to say we love you in a very special way.
And that’s why we have crafted this musical bouquet’

Bilal‘s new album will be out in just a few weeks, so his drummer/producer Steve Mckie decided to stream this nice unreleased joint with Robert Glasper on keys and Adam Blackstone on bass on his Soundcloud. Make sure you catch “A Love Surreal” on Feb 26.

Growing up in South London, singer/songwriter Sean J. Rankine started learning the drums and percussion, playing in a choir alongside bassist Micheal Olatuja (Olatuja Project) and guitarist Femi Temowo (Femitone). Last year Sean dove into music even deeper, teaming up with producer Justin Atherley, with the release of “(Love Is) Here Now” a single (available as a ‘name your price’ download) from his forthcoming EP. You won’t find phrases such as ‘world domination’ or ‘household name’ in Sean’s master plan. In fact there is no plan. He simply wants to learn, evolve and create art he can be proud of.
