Earlier this year we had the chance to be a part of the Red Bull Music Academy, which took place in London this year. We tried to live the life of a participant and also brought our video camera along. You might come to the conclusion we are not very skilled videographers (yet), but nevertheless we wanted to share some of the footage we shot in London.

Today was marked in many agenda’s already, because it’s the official release date of the ‘RBMA Various Assets 2010’ compilation album. This time it’s available for everyone in digital form, so just head on over to the Red Bull Music Academy website for a high bitrate DOWNLOAD. Massive shout out to Deluge for the last minute edit and all the people we met in London. Next year Tokyo!!

Frisco’s Low Limit is also known as one half of the formation Lazersword. What a coincidence I was just talking about these guys earlier today and I heard they have a new project coming up on Innovative Leisure. Sneak a peak HERE to see the artwork for their upcoming single “Batman”. Anyways…“Trapper Keeper” has been out for a minute, but the video was released a few days ago. No doubt Bryant is in the face melting business and this video proves it.

Brand new video of FlyLo‘s “Cosmogramma” album featuring Stephen ‘Thundercat’ Bruner. The video was directed by team ‘Special Problems’ and is cosmicly soothing if you ask me. “Mmmhmm” happens to be my fav and so I’m happy they picked this song for the video. Big ups to HipHopDX for yet another one. Album still available through Rush Hour on CD or vinyl or go for digital at iTunes

Label troubles with both Young Money and No Limit caused this talented New Orleans MC to see his debut studio album to face delay after delay. It actually got to the point that Curren$y was no longer affiliated with those two crews and found himself instead releasing a steady stream of mixtapes. And it was not until 2009 that he finally made his debut with the appropriately titled This Ain’t No Mixtape. While his mixtape game didn’t slow down, he began also focusing on his proper studio records, such as Pilot Talk, his first album due out on the Blu Roc label. As the title implies, Curren$y’s still got a thing for getting high and rapping about it. After the jump you can watch the video of the second single “Roasted”. Pilot Talk drops July 17th. Prefix

Timeless is finally in a store near you and to celebrate this occasion VTech and Mochilla have come together for an amazing once in a lifetime event. On June 18th, live on stage at the historic Los Angeles Theatre Center, they present Arthur Verocai LIVE! He’s coming all the way from Rio de Janeiro with an all-star 12-piece band, while I’ll be coming all the way from Amsterdam with the homie Marcelo. Hopefully we arrive in L.A. hours before the show, but no matter what I have to see this.

FYI….this event is FREE!! All you have to do is go to www.mochilla.com and follow the instructions. The sign-up page will go live tomorrow night (June 10th) at midnight and will come down on Friday night at the same time. There are only 200 pairs of tickets available so they’re holding lottery drawings. Sign up with a valid email address (one per person) and you could be one of the lucky two hundred. To top it off there will be a very special after-party with surprise guests…

VTech and Mochilla will also be screening the Timeless: Arthur Verocai concert DVD on the 16th and 17th of June at the Independent Downtown Theater, with Arthur making a special Q&A session appearance. Finally Arthur will be on KCRW for a super exclusive “Morning Becomes Eclectic” Live Performance on June 17th from 11:15AM to Noon, so don’t miss that! Tune into 89.9FM in LA or KCRW.COM from the internet to catch the show.

After the jump you can see the exclusive video from behind the scenes of the last time Arthur was in town that is not on the DVD.
