Our love for vinyl runs deep and over the past 17 years I personally have been digging for the black crack. So when a good friend of ours Osmanology asked us to be involved with this vinyl only event in Rotterdam called Analog, we were naturally down. Vinyl might seem outdated to some, but when you hear a song being played from vinyl at a venue with great speakers you’ll understand why a lot of DJ’s still prefer using it. The sound is so much richer and warmer. Back in the days you’d go through stacks and stacks of records, in search of that one record you’ve been looking for for ages. Nevermind the dusty fingers…it was part of the job. Nowadays a simple Google search suffices for most.
Videographer NaNo shot and edited a sick ass promo video for the December edition of Analog at Rotterdam’s best record shop…Demonfuzz. It really shows that vinyl is so much much more than a carrier of sound. It’s a way of life, it’s fun and it’s crazy sexy. Come check out the next edition of Analog December 4th at Beat Burger in Rotterdam.
Ethan Goldhammer just hit us with a crackin’ video treatment for an instrumental song he did called “Maxin'”. This is all part of a video EP/Album Ethan’s putting out, one track/vid at a time. There’s another one coming this weekend, so stay tuned!

Amsterdam-based singer Mar comes from a musical fam with his dad being a musician and also his older sister Ninthe. Earlier this year he released the “Conversations With Her” EP together with Full Crate on Melting Pot Music. His latest project is called “Mar Variations” and the concept is that he basically adds a little extra vocal niceness to an already existing song, instrumental, etc. Louis Bordeaux his “1st Session” was already a gem, but with some subtle additions it becomes ever shinier then before. Endorsed by Nalden and design by Dolly Rogers.
Very excited about Melting Pot’s upcoming “Hi-Hat Club: Vol. 5”. This time it’s our buddies Full Crate & FS Green that cook up some “Eggs And Pancakes” for ya’ll. Let me tell you that this release is going to blow a few minds. I’ve been listening to the album for a few days now and I’m really proud of these guys. Also included is a short mastering video and a few streams for you to listen to. Pre-orders can be made HERE and more info very soon…it’s almost breakfast time.

Some of you might have already read about The Gardens, but for those that haven’t here’s the deal. Every 1st Friday of the month Full Crate & Manga turn the Bitterzoet into their private playground. Very big shout out to Yoji & Crate for putting together this dope ass promo video. In other news we have some Eggs and Pancakes coming up shortly, but tomorrow is another day!
Here’s the final and 3rd video from the recent free event by The Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble in LA. This time featuring Stones Throw’s Aloe Blacc who we will be interviewing in 1 week on RBMA Sound Gallery Radio. Together, Miguel and Aloe pay homage and tribute to Gang Starr MC Keith ‘Guru’ Elam, doing an arrangement of Gang Starr’s “Betrayal”, which initially featured Scarface. Aloe Blacc’s album “Good Things” is also out now via the Stones Throw Store. You can enjoy both the video as well as the audio of “Deliver the Word” available as free download via Miguel’s Band Camp.
Mister Eric Lau is at it again and is dropping his latest release at the end of this month. Peep this interview for “Makin’ Sound” to get an idea about his inspirations for the release and the production of some of the tracks. The LP can also be previewed in full now at the Kilawatt bandcamp page, and will be available to buy next Monday (27th Sep) from hhv.de, Fat Beats and Jazzy Sport. They’re also giving away a copy of the release to a fan at random, all people have to do is tweet about the release and tag @ericlaumusic on Twitter or Eric Lau on Facebook.
