A few days ago Median‘s “The Sender” album came out on Foreign Exchange Music. Production-wise it’s a great line up with 9th Wonder, Khrysis, Kev Brown, Black Milk, Astronote & S1. Vocally it features Phonte, Bahamadia, Sy Smith & YahZarah. All in all good recipe for a more than decent album. Personal two favorite picks would be “Special” and “Kiss The Sky”. Digital release only, so grab yours over at .

Wow…another great Japan tribute has just been released by UNITE. The “I Heart Japan” mix features music from Count Bass D, Stacy Epps, Bahamadia, Oh No, Floating Points, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Roddy Rod and many more. There’s also an art book that was designed by Jewell Green of Frolab which features visual artists such as Masakatsu Kondo, Anna-Lina Balke, Goldi Gold, Jennifer Lester and many more. All the artists were so generous as to donate their artwork and music to help a community in need. In return it would nice of us all to donate $10 which will be donated to the Association for Aid and Relief Japan (AAR Japan). Donate HERE..

Hailing from Philly, my man Lil’ Dave’s own Illvibe Collective dropped their debut album last month entitled “All Together Now”. The album features production from the collective with guest appearances from Hezekiah, Bahamadia, Rich Medina, Ne’a Posey amongst others. We’re a bit late on this one but still felt it’s an album you should know about. Check out “Certified” below featuring Invincible, Bahamadia and Finale. Visit to check out the full album and purchase.

The original BB Queen Bahamadia, with her distinctive smooth-monotone flow, has quietly faded into the background. Her first album “Kollage” was a hiphop classic and till this day still brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it. Don’t even get me started on that remix the Roots did for “I Confess”…
Anyway, in 2000 she came back with yet another (so forgotten) classic! For many people “BB Queen” was the first time they ever heard Dwele sing and produce & that joint with Slum Village…still sick!
It wasn’t a total surprise that Bahamadia left us with a 5 year hiatus again to come back in 2005 with the slept on album of the week “Good Rap Music”. In my opinion it’s not her best album, but still it does have a couple of nice joints on it worth checking out. The title track was produced by Kev Brown and it also features producers like King Britt and Hezikiah Davis. You gotta love the smart-ass rhymes and buttery flow she’s become so well known for. In case you’re curious and want to buy this album…try Amazon!
Oh peep this DJ Rahdu “Total Wreck: The Encyclopedia of Bahamadia” mix posted by our friends over at BamaLoveSoul. Since their podOmatic reached it’s bandwith be sure to download it HERE.

Kam Moye A.K.A Supastition is quickly becoming one of the most prolific hip hop artists around, and he’s got the quality control to back it up. Kam Moye, as Supastition, has a discography to be proud of. He has not only experienced success and critical acclaim with his previous two albums and three EPs, but has also been featured on projects with KRS One, Little Brother, Royce the 5’9, Elzhi (Slum Village), Bahamadia, and many others. Up next is his newest project entitled Splitting image, to be released Fall ’09. First listen is this track called “3 ladies”… just a little lesson in love ladies need to sit through.
