We’ve been admiring the legend Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner, who plays bass on the entire “Shafiq En’ A-Free-Ka” album, for a minute. You may know Thundercat from his work w/ Erykah Badu, Suicidal Tendencies, SA-RA, and many others. We just wanted to show some Cali love to Plug Research who presents Shafiq’s “En’ A-Free-Ka” album available online HERE!
In case you haven’t heard of Mixcloud before…go and vist their amazing website! This is the new place to upload and check out mixes and thanks to this great widget it’s very blog-friendly. I know this is the future of uploading mixes not only for blogs like us, but also for DJ’s worldwide. Be sure to add Moovmnt to your favorites and keep an eye out for fresh mixes. Since the summer is still in full effect, we from Moovmnt decided to drop some “Cali Love” on that ass. We selected a whole lot of niceness and asked Mr. Speak to mix together this ode to California for us. We played this one on the RBMA Radio show last month and stay tuned for the second hour that was mixed by Exile & DJ Day. Tomorrow Exile & DJ Day will be visiting Amsterdam for a day and we’ll have the guys in the studio. MOOVMNT is recording a radio show this friday at the Rooms of Red Bull. You can listen to the live stream between 18:00 and 20:00 hours (GMT+1) HERE and the entire show will be all about “Cali L.O.V.E.”!
