A few months ago Rick Wade release a very limited album entitled “Never Ending Reflections” on CD. Only 400 were made, so it was kinda on the downlow. Luckily I got my hands on a copy and am now sharing a snippet with you guys of one of my favorite tracks of the album. Get you soulful Sunday on with some nice Detroit deep house…no more sleeping on this one. Rush Hour is taking pre-orders for the 2xLP vinyl which will be out soon.

I remember the days of Naked Music and Hed Kandi quite well. It was the late nineties and this was what we called US Garage or Deep House at the time. Now Miguel Migs was one of the biggest names back then and just two weeks ago he released a brand new album on O.M. Records. The production might not be something for everybody (a little slick at times), but perhaps the vocalists on this project might just make it worth your while after all. Some straight up quality singers such as Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lisa Shaw, Bebel Gilberto, Aya and Georg Levin are on Miguel Migs’ “Outside The Skyline” album which is available via
. Personally I kinda enjoy this warm, dowtempo sound…slighty reminiscent of cats like Jazzanova.

Flwrpt is at it again. This time bringing us a very entertaining “Autumn” mix. If you haven’t been checking out their blog filled with posts about original/sample music, some good ol’ funk and soul and a critical look at the cover art as well. To top it off they also bless the Internet with nice mixes like this one. Mixing deep house, nu-soul, r&b, and electronic music into one sound, hopefully you all can feel it! Cover art + mixed by Darien Victor Birks of Flwrpt. Tracklist after the drop…as usual.

Once again the Linkwood Family get down and dirty. Their new album “System” is an album forged from experience. Unlike the last album, this one is a true cross-over ranging from 80’s boogie-influenced music to techno-ish and deep house sounding tunes. I know I’m in love with at least two joints of this album, so give it a listen if you see it in the recordshop. Available via Rushhour or Juno Records (from Oct. 9th) for the lovers of digital music.
