It’s been a while since we posted some new Devonwho stuff, but since he’s releasing his “Strangebrew” EP on All City next month, we thought we’d keep you in the know. My homeboy B. Bravo keeps murdering shit every single time with his distinct Cali sound and again his remix is crack-a-lackin’. Devon’s 12″ is already available for pre-order at Rush Hour or wait a bit longer for it to hit your local record shop.

Devonwho recently did a remix for fellow Portland producer/vocalist Natasha Kmeto. “A Way To Love Me” is on that laid back tip, easy on the ears and kinda emotive. Enjoy the free download HERE.

In 2009 the first mothership landed. Starship 27 was filled with musical crazyness and curated by J1. Shortly after the first compilation album was released, the eclectic Texas label iNsect Records, got in contact with him and talked about a possible follow-up. A few years later “Starship 27 Vol. 2: Take Off” returns with J1 again as it’s curatorial captain, guiding the spacecraft on its musical voyage. On board we find artists such as DaM-FunK, I-Ced, Dibia$e, P.U.D.G.E., Devonwho, House Shoes, Eric Lau, Computer Jay, Ras-G, Blackspade & Coultrain (and more). For those wondering why this unexplained phenomenon is called the Starship 27. J1 replied, “the secret to the name will be revealed on the 3rd installment of the trilogy…next year”. So stay tuned, mark the 29th on your calendar and get ready for some heavyweight beats.

Can you say Klipmode? Producers Mndsgn and Devonwho are back with 29 tracks of pure goodness. Their album “Episodes” contains a collection of short, but bangin’ beats made between 2007 and 2010. Lots of quality beats on this one so this might just be the best 10 bucks you’ve spent this month.
