One of the biggest surprises for me this year was Curren$y’s “Pilot Talk” album. With his signature laidback flow, lots of weed talk and equipped with some top notch production, the New Orleans MC won me over a few minutes in. Today he’s set to release his second major label release, “Pilot Talk 2″, originally scheduled to drop last month. As with the previous installment, the subject matter often evolves around Curren$y’s favorite pastime and the album features some great production by Ski Beatz once again. Guest appearances include Raekwon, Fiend, Young Roddy, Trademark and one of our favorites, Dom Kennedy. I feel this one is even better than the previous, so make sure to check it out.
