Vaiper hit us up via the mail yesterday and sent us the second installment of “Ritmo Kovos” from the community of alternative arts – Renegades of Bump. This time they’ve compiled 19 tracks from top notch Lithuanian beat makers and would like to share it with the world in the form of a free download (Bandcamp). If you like some alternative electronic beats give this a spin…you might like it. In case you were wondering…the artwork was done by Asta Ostrovskaja.

Last week we got an email from a frequent visitor who goes by the name of Rckmo. Together with two other producers he recently released this “Toast” EP under the collective name The Hookup. At first I wasn’t really feeling this EP, because in all honestly…Mike Rockmore was the only one that got my head nodding. Nev and me concluded that this was worth a post after all eventhough the release as a whole is mediocre at best. Rckmo’s beats (especially “To Whom It May Concern”) won us over. Perhaps it’s because his style of producing comes the closest to our personal taste. Some of you might digg this, some of you won’t. We’d love to hear your honest opinion about this Dutch beat collective and big ups to our colleagues over at Puna for hosting this DOWNLOAD.

Almost putting an end to 2010 and as always it’s hard to find good quality music around this time. Sure Christmas is cool with a lot of free releases, but if you want to end the year with a bang you’ve have to look hard. Just my luck I came across Teeko‘s new website and found this low bitrate stream of “Magical Light” (It’s Magical Like) featuring Dibiase. Next year Teeko will be dropping his “Light Up The Darkness” album and I’m very curious about that one. Go out with a bang, stay safe and keep MOOV’N!

Can you say Klipmode? Producers Mndsgn and Devonwho are back with 29 tracks of pure goodness. Their album “Episodes” contains a collection of short, but bangin’ beats made between 2007 and 2010. Lots of quality beats on this one so this might just be the best 10 bucks you’ve spent this month.

Now here is a very talented producer from Paris who goes by the name of Mister Bibal. A few days ago he released his brand new EP entitled “R” and I had to stream this one killer joint called “The Past” featuring Chiky B, cuz it’s nice like that. Go and support this guy, because €3 via is a pretty good price. Thanks to Ray Dork for putting me on.

Colorado’s top producer Alex B has been making noise for quite some time now. As head of Elm and Oak (which is his own label) he dropped his debut album “Moments” about five months ago, which can be bought on . Next week he’ll be starting his US tour and as a preview he’s assembled this exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast.
It’s a layered, at times psychedelic, journey through hip-hop beats, dubstep brawn, and bedroom-studio skronk that nicely showcases Botwin’s talents; as it happens, he either produced or remixed half the songs here. Throw in some unreleased gems from like-minded beat producers, and this podcast is poised to get any beat freak salivating.
