He introduces his protegee, the Italian beatmaker Fid Mella, with this cats like Kev Brown and EdO G.

Like we told ya’ll last week, Stüssyand Stones Throw Records are releasing a tribute shirt in memoriam of Dilla. You already know the when and where if you’re a frequent visitor, so here’s something you didn’t know. The shirt was officially licensed by the J Dilla Estate and in case you are in Amsterdam this Saturday, we urge you to drop by ‘Café de Duivel’ for the Stüssy x Dilla Tribute Night. DJ’s FS Green, Turne, SP and Edzon will be spinning the illest of the illest in honor of the late J Dilla. Major props to the guys at Patta for puting this whole thing together by the way.

Fashionably late, but right on time we present to you the “Conversations With Her” EP. Now a lot of you got hip to Full Crate & Mar through us and it’s only logic that we support these guys like we have been doing from the get go. This soulful, soothing piece of music was something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time and finally it’s here. World renowned sneakerstore Patta from the Netherlands drops a compilation album today entitled “So So Lobi”, which is Surinamese and translates to “nothing but love”. It contains 20 tracks from several of the finest Dutch hip hop artists.
Maikal X a.k.a Shyrock and FS Green teamed up to create the track “Escapade”, which is a bonus track on the album. Shyrock was one of the best MC’s in the nineties and later on in his career, he traded in MC’ing for singing. He was a member of Hollands best selling Reggae group Postmen and especially for the So So Lobi project, X switched his style back and recorded 3 rap verses on FS Green’s production. You can pick up a exclusive So So Lobi copy at the Patta store in Amsterdam and photo credtis go to Patrick Ebu-Mordi and Masta Lee(roy). For the love of it Element & FS Green dropped a new joint on us called “Pacquiao”. This Toronto cat Element found the beat on FS Green’s State Beat Tape and recorded this track to it. FS heard the song online and instantly co-signed it. I got one thing to say…get that money!

WhenSirOJ, FS Green, Full Crate we’re in Birmingham last summer they had to make some beats to play at the Louis Den Beat Cypher. The first beat OJ played was received as you can see here! While visiting OJ’s website, we stumbled upon this new freebie “Phonenumber”. It’s an oldy from two years ago, but this is just what the doctor ordered. This soulful joint is off the heezy and if you haven’t voted, regarding to the State Awards, yet click HERE to choose your favorite Dutch producer. Released in 1987 and still top choice, not only in the Dutch streets, but worldwide to this very day, it’s only appropriate to give creator Tinker Hatfield and his original Nike Air Max 1 it’s just due by paying homage. The original recognizable colorblocking has been applied to remain true to it’s strong heritage and the main focus has been directed at the choice of durable materials: purple denim, canvas and nubuck ensure a more street-friendly version to carry on footwear tradition in a proud fashion.
