Today is officially #blackstarfriday as Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) decided to drop their first single “Fix Up” off their upcoming reunion album. Produced by Madlib, both Talib and Yasiin sound like they never left which promises a lot for the new album. Doing it in the park, doing it after dark oh yeah. So Oddisee‘s latest edition of what you’ve been missing is called “Rock Creek Park”. Heard a few other songs of the album, but when I heard “Mattered Much” featuring Olivier Daysoul and “Beach Dr.” I was truly impressed. Here’s two of those songs that can only be defined as beautiful. “Mattered Much” was actually not intended for the album, but Oddisee dug it out, realized it was meant to be on there after all and added the vocals to it.
