This is what everybody’s been waiting for all year. Sexy soulstress Erykah Badu is back with a brand new album entitled “New Amerykah pt. 2: Return of the Ankh” and it’s hella good. She really got us worried when that joint with Lil Wayne leaked, but thank god that isn’t on the album. When “Window Seat” leaked I knew this was going to be like old times. Probably the best Nu-Soul album I’ve heard in a while and even if she did cover Sylvia Striplin‘s “You Can’t Turn Me Away”…it’s all good. Miss Erykah can get away with stuff like that, because she drops songs like “Love” and “Fall In Love” on Return of the Ankh. After having heard the first leak of Erykah Badu‘s “Jump In The Air” with Lil Wayne, I wasn’t impressed at all. After having heard the second joint called “Window Seat” I was relieved as hell. Now here’s the Badu we’ve been feenin’ for. This one was produced by Badu and James Poyser and has Questlove on drums (who else?). Really looking forward to “New Amerykah Part 2″, which supposedly drops March 30th.

While I was visiting our NY colleagues FWMJ’s Rappers I Know (online), I came across this joint by Drake called “My New”. It was produced by Nottz and originally Phonte and Von Pea were on it.
