Our buddy with the million dollar smile, Isaac Aesili, is soon to release a brand new single entitled “Dandilion”. He’s not alone on this one, since he’s releasing this together with Rachel Fraser under the collective name Funkommunity. This song was produced by fellow Kiwi Christoph El Truento while the b-side “Never Fading” was produced by Julien Dyne and Isaac together. Both songs are from their upcoming “Chequered Thoughts” album by the way. The 7″ is going to be released later this month via Wonderful Noise Japan so keep an eye out for that one! Oh
I remember meeting Suff Daddy at the Hi-Hat Club release party last year and one thing became clear. This guy loves his alcohol, weed and beats. So in search of some quality “‘Gnac” (cognac for you designated drivers) Suff embarked on a journey to Prague. Before Melting Pot releases his new single (Feb. 25th), a limited 5 x 7″ Suff Daddy box inlcuding all five 7″ singles will be sold exclusively via the MPM Store. The box set releases Feb. 11th and to get ya’ll tipsy here is the premiere of a nice video Robert Winter and Typoclique put together.
Next year two of Europe’s most respected selectors, Lefto and Simbad, will show you what it’s all about…music wise. They were asked by Brownswood to make a selection of future music for the brand new new series of compilations called Worldwide Family. With their web-like worldwide connections it was only fair a title like was to be used. Two CD’s, 27 tracks deep and released on Januari 3rd…worldwide! Stay tuned for more info..

Amsterdam-based singer Mar comes from a musical fam with his dad being a musician and also his older sister Ninthe. Earlier this year he released the “Conversations With Her” EP together with Full Crate on Melting Pot Music. His latest project is called “Mar Variations” and the concept is that he basically adds a little extra vocal niceness to an already existing song, instrumental, etc. Louis Bordeaux his “1st Session” was already a gem, but with some subtle additions it becomes ever shinier then before. In a week or two Tobrock will be releasing his first official single on Melting Pot Music in the form of a 7″. The third edition of The Gardens is a special one. Our friends Full Crate & FS Green have recently released their Hi-Hat Club Vol. 5: Eggs And Pancakes album on Melting Pot Music and this needed to be celebrated. I’d like to thank the guys from Cologne for last weeks release party in Germany and this Friday it’s time for the Amsterdam release party at the Bitterzoet. It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard from the ever so talented producer FS Green, but he’s back with Full Crate as they are on the verge of dropping Hi-Hat Club Vol. 5 “Eggs And Pancakes”. Six tracks from each producer plus two collaborations as well. The time is finally here for some of those soon to be classics, that have been locked in the vault for way too long, to be released. Cherish gems such as “Troopercat” and “Thursday”, because you might need them either in the club or at home on a rainy day. I’m dying to meet all the guys from Cologne at the official German release party on the 29th and there is also a rumor that there will be a release party in Amsterdam the week after. Ever since I was 13 or something, I loved MC Eiht. During my visit to L.A. I got an email from the guys from Melting Pot saying that Brenk had produced a brand new jam for Eight and that the video was out. Just had to share this one with ya’ll for old time’s sake…
Back in January we received some extremly nice drafts from an upcoming project called “Proceduri de Rutina” by Hubert Daviz. He has been working on this project by sampling only Rumanian Jazz records since early December 2009. The eight tracks strong release was supposed to come out as a free release on Kwatro, but our friends at Melting Pot Music picked this up and now it’s due to drop at the end of this month on limited vinyl (500 copies). These soulful vibes remind me of something from the past eventhough I can’t quite put my finger on what. We were given an exclusive non-album track by the guys from MPM to share with you guys.
