When Sotu the Travellercalled me up last week and told me he was dropping a new project, I was kinda curious what it would sound like. At first I was expecting something totally different, but soon I got used to his new sound and must say “Left” is something else. I bet a lot of you are going to love it, but also some are not going to feel it. My advise is to give “HourGlass” (FREE download) a listen and support artists like Sotu by paying a little for the hard work and precious time they put into their music.

I remember I had a conversation with Mar last week, and I said that “I Said” was my least favorite track on the EP. Well I think I need to take that back after seeing the video. Full Crate & Mar once again proved that visuals can add a new dimension to audio, cause this video is exactly what the song needed. If you haven’t bought this one yet…here you go !!
Deluge and me just came back from Joya Mooi’s album pre-listening party at MC. Late as usual we missed the whole shebang, but still got to chill with Full Crate, Mar, SirOJ, Joya, Yoji and miss Mountainwoodfor a minute. I had heard an early leak of “When I Take A Step Back” (produced by Presto) and was semi impressed at the time. After having heard the rest of the album I can truly say this…I’m a fan of miss Mooi! Not because she has the looks, not because she’s a nice person, but because I truly admire the way she comes across as an artist.
One of my favorites is the duet with Mar called “My Day”. Her debut album “Hard Melk” is a soundtrack for the new theater play BH and features almost every single Dutch producer you’d want on your album. Just to name a few: SirOJ, Presto, Hayzee, Wan, Dub Spensa and Crate who kinda put everything together musically. You can check out the entire album over HERE and view her video after the jump. Okay after having visited the very last ‘Once Again’ last night, Mar asked me why this one particular joint wasn’t on Moovmnt. I was explaining we almost never post Dutch hip hop and although this Dean High track “Speciaal” is from a few months back, I came to conclusion I did want to share this one with ya’ll after all. Production wise this is too good to not be heard, so here you guys go. The song features Deventer’s Fata with prettyboy Louis Bordeaux (no homo) on the vocals if I’m correct. Our buddy Nalden hosted Dean’s “The Love” EP which is available for FREE DOWNLOAD! I have to be honest and say that the rhymes are okay, but for me it’s mostly the production that grabbed my attention. Without further ado…Mixing Monthly Millionaires Present: Full Crate - “Feel Like Makin’ Love”. Basically this is an old mix that my man Crate had lying around from a while back and he didn’t want to keep it from ya’ll. We were supposed to host this mix, but due to the malware issues we were having our buddy Nalden picked this one up. It took ages, or so it seemed, but finally all the audio was gathered and we asked JayHats to mix everything down so it sounds just right. No crappy sound, although please keep in mind that the beats you heard live at the battle may sound a bit different from this compilation. If you truly want to relive the moment I suggest you play these beats in a residential area, preferably as loud as possible. For those who weren’t at the Beat Battle at the Rooms of Red Bull…ya’ll missed a CLASSIC! Either way we asked all contestants to donate one beat so we could put together this compilation album. We called it “The Afterthought” because we thought it necessary to look back on what the f*ck happened that night. BEAT BATTLE AT THE ROOMS OF RED BULL: “THE AFTERTHOUGHT”
To celebrate and promote the fact we’re organizing the Beat Battle at the Rooms of Red Bull (together with Nalden), we decided to ask djbroadcast if we could do a radioshow. A two hour Beat Special is what we decided to bless your ears with and you’re in for a special treat. Big man I.N.T (La Melodia) is going to be playing together with Deluge and MRP and me will be mixing together the other hour. Be sure to tune in to RBMA Radio from 18:00 till 20:00 hours (GMT+1).
