UpMyAlley is dropping the third installment of their producer compilation series “Beatnicks Vol. 3″. This six-track EP contains music from Powell, O.Boogie, Desto, fLako & Berghem, Rez and ex RBMA participant Ki En Ra. The guys over at UpMyAlley hooked us up “Way Back” of Ki En Ra’s “City of Moment” EP available on OneSense Music. The Estonian teams up with SelfSays on this one (who can make something out of nothing). Enjoy and give Beatnicks Vol. 3 a try…it got some heat on it. Pressed as Limited Edition handsprayed vinyl (probably limited to 500 copies) and available for pre-order at Rush Hour.

In 2007, UpMyAlley dropped the first volume of their Beatnicks Series featuring upandcoming producers such as fLako, Powell, Rustie, Hubert Daviz and others. Next month volume 3 will be dropping on vinyl through Rushhour and in anticipation of this release Powell (Paris) and UpMyAlley labelhead Dip Some from Cologne will be playing at the “Beatnicks Vol. 3″ Pre-Release Party in Amsterdam alongside O.Boogie, Brutuzz and Giographic. When my old buddy Tomas invited my for his Ontfront show at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week, I remembered him saying something about working together with Simon Amon aka Steam Supreme last year. For those that don’t know…Ontfront is an independant clothing brand based in Amsterdam. Anyway…for their catwalkshow they’ll be blasting Simon’s “Afrodisiacting” through the speakers. This collaboration between singer Simon Amon and producers Fret Hinge is from their “Breakfast For Heroes” EP.

Our friends at Skip Intro contacted us with some nice inside info about a producer who is no stranger to Moovmnt. We wanted to shine some more light on this beat maker and the fact he’ll be performing in Amsterdam…so be prepaired to be enlightened.
Born in Chile and now living in both Berlin and London, fLako is one of Europe’s most promising producers at this moment. Whoever you ask within the electronic/beat world will definetely agree. He contributed the banging “Inside” to UpMyAlley‘s “Beatnicks Vol.2 Sampler” and drew worldwide attention on his production skills in 2008/2009 with his “Vortex Cookies Remix”, a track that made any head at any venue in any city in Europe bang like crazy, and has been championed by beat/dubstep pioneers such as Gaslamp Killer, HudMo, Jay Scarlett and others.
fLako who is a close member of the UpMyAlley family hasn’t been playing his trademark set of dancefloor killers live that often, being quite selective in what gigs to play.. So far only Vilnius, Cologne, Vienna and London had the honour of having this guy smashing things to bits&pieces live. Amsterdam is next on the map, don’t miss out on this one. November 13th fLako will make you spill your beer, because you won’t be able to stand still once he starts off!
