Can’t believe what a week this has been. Must be an omen or something, because I’m getting goosebumps right here. I’m now sure that 2012 will be one hell of a year musically. London-beast producer (yes the spelling is correct) Eric Lau dropping some crazy new shit in the form of “Yesterday” featuring Guilty Simpson, Fatima and Olivier Daysoul. We’re seriously looking forward to “The Mission” EP which will be out Feb 3rd on Kilawattmusic. For the early birds, go ahead and pre-order at www.kilawattmusic.com.

Most of you know what the deal with the Irish producer they call Krystal Klear. This time around he teams up with the slick Olivier DaySoul to release the heavily eighties influenced “Never Thought You Would Go” and the throwback Swingbeat joint “Wastin’ Time”. Look for a limited vinyl run to hit your local record shop on Monday or go ahead and pre-order this 10″ over at Rush Hour.

Doing it in the park, doing it after dark oh yeah. So Oddisee‘s latest edition of what you’ve been missing is called “Rock Creek Park”. Heard a few other songs of the album, but when I heard “Mattered Much” featuring Olivier Daysoul and “Beach Dr.” I was truly impressed. Here’s two of those songs that can only be defined as beautiful. “Mattered Much” was actually not intended for the album, but Oddisee dug it out, realized it was meant to be on there after all and added the vocals to it. In case you were wondering it’s Andy Faus on guitar and Lucan’s Pipkin on strings. Oh and make sure to grab this free download and buy the whole album over at Rock Creek Park - Oddisee if you like what you’re hearing!

We’ve been hearing loads of new music from Olivier DaySoul lately…which is a good thing. He remains one ot those cats that in our opinion deserves to blow up. To end 2010 with a bang and satisfy our hunger, he decided to bless us with a new freebie called “Finer Things In Life” produced by Eric Lau.

Talented Dutch producer Dukehugh, hailing from Groningen, seems to amaze us time and time again. This time with the “St. Louis To Madrid” remix EP he dropped yesterday on his Bandcamp. You remember Olivier DaySoul‘s “Mr Saint Louis” EP produced by Odissee right? Well Hugo manages to conjure up four remixes each with a totally different take. This thing is all over the place and goes from Broken to Dub and from Future Soul to Bossatronic. Please leave a nice comment if you enjoy this free download…I know you will!

Olivier DaySoul has been making noise recently and with this sick ass feature on JR & PH7‘s “Persuasion” he only proves that he’s a true vocalist amongst many so called singers that can’t sing for shit. The killer organs and percussion make this jawn sound soulful and energetic and reminiscent of that Amerie song, but without sounding like a copy. Almost slept on this, but thanks to Soulspazm Records for keeping us on track. Get the single on Persuasion and the “The Update” will drop November 9th.

Olivier DaySoul‘s “Mr Saint Louis” EP is a fact and available for free download on Oddisee‘s Bandcamp (who produced the entire EP). I love the way this sounds…so familiar, yet never heard any of this. Better grab this while it’s hot, because after it’s been downloaded a thousand times it will cease to be a freebie…so hurry up! Thanks to Oddisee and Amelia.

Last week Trek Life dropped his “Everything Changed Nothing” album and at first I wasn’t really blown away. It took me a while, but after having listened to it a second time I think you all should give it a listen as well. Loving some of those Oddisee productions on there and the fact that OlivierDaySoul is singing on a bunch of songs helps too. Really love the title song and also “I’d Rather Be” is in the top 3. Let me know what you guys think and to purchase a digital copy head on over to Everything
