A few months ago Rick Wade release a very limited album entitled “Never Ending Reflections” on CD. Only 400 were made, so it was kinda on the downlow. Luckily I got my hands on a copy and am now sharing a snippet with you guys of one of my favorite tracks of the album. Get you soulful Sunday on with some nice Detroit deep house…no more sleeping on this one. Rush Hour is taking pre-orders for the 2xLP vinyl which will be out soon.

It’s been a while since we posted some new Devonwho stuff, but since he’s releasing his “Strangebrew” EP on All City next month, we thought we’d keep you in the know. My homeboy B. Bravo keeps murdering shit every single time with his distinct Cali sound and again his remix is crack-a-lackin’. Devon’s 12″ is already available for pre-order at Rush Hour or wait a bit longer for it to hit your local record shop.

Guilty indeed. Been sleeping way too hard on East Liberty Quarters for real. In case you’re wondering, the trio hailing from Pittsburgh consists of Nice Rec, Grand Ear and the homie Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble. So I was kinda late discovering their “East Liberty Quarters” EP last month, which is straight funk by the way! You might remember “Lucky Charm” which I featured in “The Future of Funk 2″. Wonderful Modern Funk with a dash of Electro Funk and Hip Hop. Tight drums, great synth work and some funky ass grooves is what you can expect to hear. I also almost missed out on a 7″ record they released last month containing two brand new jams entitled “Holiday” and “Streetlights”. Make sure you pick up the vinyl or digital copy over at their Bandcamp page or try over at Rush Hour.

Most of you know what the deal with the Irish producer they call Krystal Klear. This time around he teams up with the slick Olivier DaySoul to release the heavily eighties influenced “Never Thought You Would Go” and the throwback Swingbeat joint “Wastin’ Time”. Look for a limited vinyl run to hit your local record shop on Monday or go ahead and pre-order this 10″ over at Rush Hour.
The little homie Onra has been busy with his “Chinoiseries” Pt. 2 which came out yesterday on All City. The whole concept is crazy nice and if you’re into bangin’ hip hop beats this will hit the spot. Congratulations on a dope sequel homie. Really like the samples and chops, you dug pretty deep for this one. I remember earlier this year when Onra was performing with Buddy Sativa in Amsterdam. I remember him playing “Fight Or Die” and thinking…damn this beat kicks. No doubt we had to stream this one for your enjoyment! If you want to support, go ahead and purchase this release on or pre-order on vinyl at Rush Hour.

One of our favorite Kiwi producers, Mark de Clive-Lowe, has been residing in Los Angeles for quite some time now and has returned with his “Renegades”album on Tru Thoughts. Still lots of West London Broken Beats and other melodic uptempo flavors as well. Mashi gets a little help from various vocalists such as Omar, Sheila E, Tawiah, Bembe Segue, Nia Andrews & Ovasoul7. All in all a great new album to shake them hips to. I’m sure the club DJ’s are gonna be happy with this one cuz it sure do bump. Pre-order the CD over at Rush Hour or get a digital copy at .

As you guys and gals might know, we’ve been supporting the half Chilean producer called fLako for quite some time over at Moovmnt. We’ve met a few times and he is a very humble guy. He’s been living in London for a while now and is releasing his brand new project entitled “Carving Away The Clay” today. This EP is on some new and improved shit and clearly fLako has been evolving in sound and style over the past few years. The text below expresses the thought behind the EP, which will is available on 10″ vinyl (Rush Hour) as well as digitally via Bandcamp.
‘Carving Away The Clay’ impresses upon the idea of an ongoing process in which raw material is stripped off of anything superfluous or impeding until the essential parts of ourselves are exposed. It is a never ending process of striving for perfection in all areas of life.

UK’s funk heavyweight ARP 101 has just released his latest “U/Groove” EP on Eglo Records and it’s a banger! This EP has a third track on there called “True” that I wanted you to hear. Some straight sick modern funk jams on this baby with those distinctive vocoder melodies. London is putting modern funk on the map with this release fo sho! Make sure you buy this one at your local vinyl spot or order it HERE via Rush Hour.

Ya’ll know our homie AD Bourke from his funky “Mirage” album. What you don’t know is that he’s back on some other shit with with his “Tidal Motion” EP, coming out next week on Space Dimension Controller‘s Basic Rhythm label. This just sounds incredibly dope, but what do you expect…it’s kind of an RBMA 2010 affair. The EP should really be on your ‘to-cop-list’ so don’t hesitate and pre-order the record over at Rush Hour now!

Producer/Musician Proh Mic is preparing his album release “Rhythm for Days” dropping on October 25th via All Natural Inc. His last single on All Natural Inc was straight bangin’ with on the A-side, “Turn It Over”, which sounds like an up-tempo eighties joint with Coultrain on the vocals. Even nicer perhaps is the B-side, “Sleep In Girl”, featuring Tone Trezure, which is available as a limited free download now (1000 times max).
