Vandaag Dilla’s ”Think Twice” van zijn album ”Welcome to Detroit” en Jazzy Jeff’s ”Practice”. Het origineel Think Twice is van jazzgroep DOnald Byrd & The Blackbyrds. Dope shit, het is alsof Dilla er een re-make van heeft gemaakt terwijl Jazzy Jeff het echt heeft gesampled/gechopped/gelooped en getweeked met een dope resultaat featuring J-Live.
Crate diggin is iets wat we leuk vinden om te doen, om te horen hoe de sample klinkt dat je zegt: ow shitt dat is toch die melodie van dit of dat nummer? Ja, dus niet vergeten dat het lied zn dopeness deels te danken heeft aan de oorspronkelijke artist die muzikaal ook prachtig bezig was.
Vandaag Lupe’s ”Paris, Tokyo” van zijn nieuwe album ”The Cool” en Tanya Morgan’s ”Suave Interlude” shit die je zeker nooit ergens eerder heb gehoord!
