Fashionably late, but right on time we present to you the “Conversations With Her” EP. Now a lot of you got hip to Full Crate & Mar through us and it’s only logic that we support these guys like we have been doing from the get go. This soulful, soothing piece of music was something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time and finally it’s here. Thanks to Melting Pot Music for releasing this and hope to see a lot of you at the release party Saturday 23rd at the Bitterzoet in Amsterdam (more info after the jump).
Eric Roberson was so impressed with “She Was Fly” that he decided to record some slick vocals over it. That version is also on the EP, together with my favorite joint “Surreal Moments”. Just had to stream that one, cuz it has been on repeat for over a month now. I urge you to get your digital copy via or for the vinyl-lovers that good old wax via HHV or Loop23! Last night my boy Full Crate called me up and he was all excited about this track he recorded with Mar in like an hour. Eversince his iMac crashed and he lost all his sounds, he has been playing around with a loaner laptop. Twenty minutes later this beat was finished and 40 minutes later the vocals were laced. This Moovmnt special ‘Purest’ is just a teaser of the upcoming ‘Moving Slow 2011′ album containing nothing but sexy ass joints! Photo credtis go to Patrick Ebu-Mordi and thanks to Crate & Mar for showing love..

When is it gonna drop? Crate…where is that joint? Well I got news for you…it’s finally here. Full Crate & Mar kept us in the dark with this one, but “Flirtwitu” is a fact. They hooked up Versis to lace the track and I must say this is the most mature track they’ve made up yet. I love the way Mar brings back the “She Was Fly” and “Aftersexin’” lyrics and those soothing harmonies and caressing bass kicks are the bizness.
Now everybody knows I’m an out-and-out critic, but when the guys played this on a lazy sunday afternoon a while back I was sold. One of Crate’s best productions thus far and Mar is steadily growing up to be a terrific soul singer. When I heard Versis was going to be on this as well, I thought it might be an overkill, but boy was I wrong. He actually finishes the track with finesse and this young cat will most surely be dropping some killer verses in the next few years to come. Artwork was done by Brian Elstak and Moovmnt is hosting it…HERE.

The Amsterdam-based wonder kid – Full Crate – just hit us up with a brand new joint called “Make Me Laugh”. Besides being a close personal friend and one of my favorite Dutch DJ’s. I have always had the feeling that Crate would go on to make real, pure quality music. I can tell you that there are a lot more audible goodies coming your way this summer so stay hungry. In case you don’t remember or have never heard of “She Was Fly” or “Aftersexin’” please educate yourself and download these two gems for free. For the die hard Mar fans…good news. There will be a new collaboration coming real soon. Promise!
Cali rapper Versis laced “Make Me Laugh” with some nice vocals and you might have heard him on some fLako tracks before. Our very own Deluge did the artwork during his NY trip so I guess you could call this an international thang project. Nice laid back hiphop joint free of charge…can’t beat that with a baseball bat.
