It was a tough decision, but I decided to post about Mayer Hawthorne‘s new “How Do You Do” album. Yes I understand who this album is for and yes I do understand it’s out on Universal…a major label. What I also know is that this album is not really for me any more. Personally I find this way too poppy, but I do wish Mr. Haircut all the best with conquering the charts. I did however enjoy “Can’t Stop” featuring Snoop, because I never heard Snoop sing like this before. It’s rather funny and yeah I’m enjoying it a bit. Anyway..you can purchase a digital copy over at already.

I have rarely seen such a dope Hip Hop documentary as “Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation”! Last Monday VH1 broadcasted this incredible video about the rise of Crack and it’s influence on the American society and Hip Hop. Narrated by Ice-T starring Snoop, Too Short, RZA, Raekwon, B-Real, Rakim and the real Ricky Ross. A must see if you ask me! Big shout out to Supreme Cuisine for this one.

I’ve been bumping this Quazedelic joint for the longest, but it’s officially coming out. A collaboration between the fonk monk and Doggfather was destiny waiting to be fulfilled. “Hold On”, off Quazedelic’s upcoming debut LP, has Quaz and Snoop combining their smooth, similar styles from separate genres for the album’s first single. On October 5th “Stan Sly: Anuthaworld” will be available via Georgia Anne Muldrow’s and Declaime’s SomeOthasShip Connect.

Terrace Martin is a producer/saxophonist/songwriter has been playing drums and piano since he was toddler. Later at the age of 13 he fell in love with the alto sax and that’s that. It has been Terrace Martin’s love for the alto sax that has catapulted his career into a world beyond imagination. He has worked with people like Diddy, Raphael Saadiq and Charlie Wilson. Even more noteworthy might be legends like Art Farmer, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder.
Mr. Martin also caught the attention of Hip Hop veteran Snoop Dogg and went on to become his production partner. On Terrace’s new release, “The EP – Volume 2: Lover Edition”, Snoop even pops around to do some guest vocals. Also dope to see Frank Nitt get down on “Go Girl” together with Problem. Did I mention this is a FREE DOWNLOAD? Well it is so enjoy and spread the word to you and yours.
