Welsh production crew Darkhouse Family aka Don Leisure and Metabeats drop their debut “Family Trees” EP via Fat City. Heavy synth-work, syrupy melodies, processed sample snippets is what you can expect. You all must know about that banger “Stay Blazed” as featured on the Producer #2 album and on “Mein Atari” they asked Mr. Dibiase to flip the shit out of it in his very own style. Also loving the Bonus Digital Cut “Mediation” which has that Darkhouse flava of dubwise-blunted Hip Hop. Check out the snippets and buy if you like what you hear!

After releasing “Blen” Steve Spacek and Mark Pritchard are about to drop another one on us. Africa HiTech‘s first EP is called “Hitecherous” and I can assure you this new 6-track banger is going to wake people up. With their futuristic dub inspired sound combined with the bass bubbling and synth soothing skills, I think this could appeal to a huge audience. Watch out for this to drop late June on Warp Records!

This is the second time KrystalKlear has come to my attention and I decided to let ya’ll in on a little secret. This mystery artist from Belize is going to be releasing his debut release in April on All City Records. Massive synth waves flood the ears and take you back to the Boogie. It’s artists like Dam-Funk that pop to mind when hearing this typical early-’80s boogielicious funkiness. Klear’s productions are on that Neo Boogie tip that only few have managed to produce on a level to my liking so far. Keep your eyes and ears open for more of that f0nk!

In 2006 Up Hygh released one of the best albums of the year (when it comes to deep, down, dirty hip hop with an electronical twist). Residing from Stockholm these guys (Rik Skizzo and Pure Pare) knew how to bang out a quality album. They used crispy drums, deep bass and knew their way around synths for sure. If you’re in for a fantastic ride, I suggest you get yourself a copy of “The Venus High” album. You’re in for a real treat with features by Little Brother, Planet Asia, Eska, ADL & Melo! Too bad they broke up, but still a massive slept on album if you ask me.
