It’s been a while in the making, but Zed ‘Maddslinky’ Bias‘ new “Biasonic Hotsauce – Birth Of The Nanocloud” album is OUT! Been bumping this shit for the past few months and believe me when I say this is some quality UK club music! Lots of dance floor killers that will murder the entire crowd when played out at the right venue. I hope DJ’s are gonna play songs like “Fairplay”, “Trouble In The Streets” and “Badness” whenever they can. As warm up for the Red Bull Music Academy 2011 in Tokyo, UK Garage legend MJ Cole will be doing a free RBMA workshop during Amsterdam’s 5 Days Off event at Club Up (March 5th). A second artist might be confirmed later, but more info on the event on Facebook. All musicians can apply for this years RBMA untill April 4th, so don’t hesitate and fill out those forms!

On another note…MJ Cole is about to release his “Satellite” EP after the weekend and we just had to give you guys a little sneak peak in the form of this preview. Really liking this mellowed out Dubstep joint “Hawaii” with those subtle harp melodies we know to be his trademark.

A while ago we met up with Zed “Maddslinky” Bias at the Sound Gallery in Amsterdam. He was so kind to do a one hour mix for our Moovmnt Radio show filled with exclusives and sneak previews. I remember working in a record shop in Amsterdam called Dancetracks in ’99 for a short while. One of the records that caught me attention was Zed Bias with “Neighborhood” on Locked On. Back then it was the era of Garage of music which came in many shapes and forms. In the here and now his alias Maddslinky is back during what we can now define as the era of Electronica and Dubstep.

His album “Make a Change” is quite divers and manages to blend many different genres plus it contains one of the best soulful Dubstep tunes made up till now. We were all over “Further Away” featuring Tawiah last year and played it as often as possible. Another banging mix between genres is “Lionheart” where Reggae and Dubstep are blended into one. On “Special” Maddslinky and UK soul singer Omar hit you with a soothing mix of soulful house and broken beats with that typical Zed Bias bass. For the rest this album contains lots of UK Garage, UK Funky and Dubstep flavoured tunes with loads of piano melodies warm Juno synths. Out now on Tru Thoughts and available via so act accordingly!

Maddslinky aka Zed Bias is dropping his new “Make A Change” album in October. The first single is called “Special” and features Omar on the vocals. It has that typical Zed Bias bassline and this soulful tune will be out September 13th. The single will feature remixes from MJ Cole (peep preview here), At Jazz and Simbad so whatch out for that one. The video was made by SEEN© and I know we’re kinda late with this one..
