Most of you know what the deal with the Irish producer they call Krystal Klear. This time around he teams up with the slick Olivier DaySoul to release the heavily eighties influenced “Never Thought You Would Go” and the throwback Swingbeat joint “Wastin’ Time”. Look for a limited vinyl run to hit your local record shop on Monday or go ahead and pre-order this 10″ over at Rush Hour.
If it hadn’t been for “Just Vybe” featuring the lovely miss Fatima, I probably would’ve never heard of UK Funky man DVA. Recently he announced his debut album, “Pretty Ugly”, is coming out in 2012 on Hyperdub Records, but before the end of the year he’ll be releasing a 12″ first. It will contain “Madness” featuring Vikter Duplaix (plus an instrumental version) and “Polyphonic Dreams” on the flipside. Also peep the video or pre-order at Rush Hour.

Now most of you where already aware of the French duo called Union. Eealier this year they came correct with “Wings” featuring Elzhi and they now return with a brand new single and video entitled “Time Leak”. For this one OJ and Gold teams up with Talib Kweli and Sly Johnson to create some nice jazz-minded, electronic hip hop music. Their upcoming album, “Analogtronics” will feature the likes of MF Doom, Guilty Simpson and Elzhi. Out on Fat Beats early next year, but in the meanwhile grab the single over at or look for the triangle shaped 7″ over at Fatbeats. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Sam aka Floating Points is returning November 21st with his “Shadows” EP on Eglo Records. I’ve truly fallen in love with this one song “Myrtle Avenue” featuring miss Fatima. It just sounds so incredibly sexy! The video for “Sais” is also pretty tight, so I suggest you peep that as well. The visuals were created live in realtime by Will Hurt as part of their live A/V collaboration. Already available for pre-order at Rush Hour!

This year’s Red Bull Music Academy is in full effect again. Participants such as Full Crate and Salva are probably having the time of their lives as we speak in Madrid. Yesterday miss Erykah Badu was a guest at the academy and gave a lecture. To give you guys a small preview, check out this teaser video and be on the look out for footage of MF Doom’s lecture as well. More video footage will be shared soon, don’t you worry.
Last weekend Deluge and me met Amalia and Opolopo for the first time at their debut gig in Amsterdam. We were baffled to hear that miss Amalia actually has this beautiful voice in real life as well and wasn’t singing off key at all. Not every artist can hold their own when it comes to live performances, but this lady sure can. During diner yesterday I discovered Opolopo likes to be picked up by men and Amalia loves food and taking pictures. Both were pretty satisfied after a good Indonesian meal and are now of to another part of the world. Peep the new “Freeze That!” video, which is crackalackin’..
Last month UK veteran soul singer, Omar, performed a brand new song entitled “The Man” live in Copenhagen on a hot summers day. The vocals were sung live as Kriswontwo was shooting this dope video while the instrumental was added later. I think everything came out quite “Special”! Kinda slept on this one since it came out over a month ago. So just for you guys, some of that British nu soul music on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from José James. Tomorrow he’s releasing a brand new song entitled “Trouble”which was recorded live at the AllSaints Basement Sessions in London. Also peep some fly video footage of this live recording while your at it. The song was written by José James and Scott Jacoby with Takuya Kuroda on the horns and there’s also a remix out by Oh No! Grab the live version on or click HERE to get the remix version.

In preparation for the launch of the forthcoming Eglo website, the guys took to the streets to record a little video for my favorite song from Fatima…“Mind”, taken from her “Follow You” EP produced entirely by Floating Points. It’s all luv innit!
No Slept on Sundays today, but a laid back new joint from FlexFab &Chief (the beatmaker) that goes by the name of “Invazion”. Comes with a fun little video and is available as a free download! Kick back and enjoy..
