A few months ago we got this promo CD in the mail and it slipped my mind that this “Shapes 11:01″ compilation was released last week. I remember this new Mark de Clive-Lowe song, “Push”, of his upcoming “Renegades” album being on there (also out on Tru Thoughts next month). It features Bembe Segue and Nia Andrews on the vocals. This compilation is out on 2 x CD and on vinyl (available at HHV.de) and contains some heavy hitters from Zed Bias aka Maddslinky, MdCL, Nostalgia 77, Hidden Orchestra, Quantic and a whole lot more.

It’s been a while in the making, but Zed ‘Maddslinky’ Bias‘ new “Biasonic Hotsauce – Birth Of The Nanocloud” album is OUT! Been bumping this shit for the past few months and believe me when I say this is some quality UK club music! Lots of dance floor killers that will murder the entire crowd when played out at the right venue. I hope DJ’s are gonna play songs like “Fairplay”, “Trouble In The Streets” and “Badness” whenever they can. Also wanted to share this new jam of of Dave’s upcoming Maddslinky project coming out next year. Get your digital copy over at or grab a CD..

Got this new Mark de Clive-Lowe single in a while ago and noticed that the folks from Tru Thoughts are giving this one away as a free download. I asked Mark if we could stream an additional little gem of his upcoming “Renegades”, but we’re gonna have to wait a bit since it’s not due until November 14th. His single “The Why” featuring nia andrews is the first single to be lifted from the upcoming “Renegades” album containing a bad ass remix from Maddslinky (who’s dropping his own new album this Monday). Mashi is bringing some crazy heat this fall so you’d best believe the hype!

Last week me and the homie Mr. Speak were just hanging out and decided to put together this “The Future of Funk” mix. It’s a well known fact I like that Modern Funk so I thought it was only fitting to share my love with the rest of the world. Did my best to get some exclusives in there together with a healthy dose of that bomb funk. Many thanks to all the artists for helping me put this together and thanks to Deluge for the last minute cover art. Enjoy this 45 minute ride to the funky side. Destination…The Future of Funk!
A while ago we met up with Zed “Maddslinky” Bias at the Sound Gallery in Amsterdam. He was so kind to do a one hour mix for our Moovmnt Radio show filled with exclusives and sneak previews. If you like that UK Funky/Broken/Garage/Dubstep/Wonkey sound you’re in for a proper treat! Dave drops some fingerlickin’ tunes and we invite you to take a listen. Oh and for you Dutchies…this Friday Maddslinky will be playing at Rampage in Paradiso (Amsterdam).
I remember working in a record shop in Amsterdam called Dancetracks in ’99 for a short while. One of the records that caught me attention was Zed Bias with “Neighborhood” on Locked On. Back then it was the era of Garage of music which came in many shapes and forms. In the here and now his alias Maddslinky is back during what we can now define as the era of Electronica and Dubstep.
His album “Make a Change” is quite divers and manages to blend many different genres plus it contains one of the best soulful Dubstep tunes made up till now. We were all over “Further Away” featuring Tawiah last year and played it as often as possible. Another banging mix between genres is “Lionheart” where Reggae and Dubstep are blended into one. On “Special” Maddslinky and UK soul singer Omar hit you with a soothing mix of soulful house and broken beats with that typical Zed Bias bass. For the rest this album contains lots of UK Garage, UK Funky and Dubstep flavoured tunes with loads of piano melodies warm Juno synths. Out now on Tru Thoughts and available via so act accordingly!

After her debut album “In Jodi’s Bedroom” took everyone by surprise in 2008, Tawiah is returning alongside Zed Bias on this new dubstep inspired soul track entitled “Further Away”. The track will be released on Zed Bias’ own label Sidestepper records. Heavy Tune!!
