The Foreign Exchange blessed us with a nice little freebie today. On June 28 the group is releasing a live CD/DVD entitled “Dear Friends: An Evening With The Foreign Exchange”, which apart from the live recordings features two brand new studio tracks. One of those tracks is “All The Kisses” which features Amber & Paris Strother of KING, a group we all have been waiting to hear more from. More information over at The Foreign Exchange.

VA’s miss Tiffany Paige is best known for her work with Talib Kweli, DOOM, John Robinson, J Rawls, Zo! (Foreign Exchange), Scienz of Life, Khrysis, Carlos Nino and many more. You might have seen a few posts before where her name was mentioned, but she’s back in the studio working on some new music. First up is an unreleased gem produced by Zo! entitled “Seasons” (from ’05 via Phonte). It was supposed to be on her “Dreamwalk” album which never got released. “Such:a:challenge” was produced by ID 4 Windz (Scienz of Life) & Ty Macklin and can be downloaded for FREE at Tiffany’s Bandcamp. Keep track of miss Paige and follow her on Twitter and enjoy the music!

One of the most anticipated albums for this fall has to be The Foreign Exchange their “Authenticity” album. I’ve just listened to it and in my opinion it is a worthy follow up album after having been nominated for a grammy last year. Yes it’s a bit more accessible, but honestly FE has stayed true to themselves and it’s simply a beautiful album. Of course we find guest appearances from longtime contributors YahZarah, Darien Brockington, Zo! and Median. On “Make Me A Fool” we hear Jesse Boykins III , who in my opinion is one of the most talented vocalists on this album. In only a few days “Authenticity” hits the stores, so act accordingly and BUY the album through the FE website or ..

Meet the New Jack Kings. T. Calmese (aka Illite of the Subterraneous Crew) and Vaughan T. (of the Athletic Mic League) are two unsung heroes coming out of Michigan. Their “New Jack Kings” project was inspired by the infamous era of high top fades, eye brow parts, and house parties. The album revolves around life, love, women and fashion as a solute to artists such as Teddy Riley, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, New Edition and Kid n Play who made songs that everyone could relate to.
Lots of classic New Jack Swing flips by producers like Vaughan T, 14KT, Nick Speed, ZO! and vocal contributions from Buff 1, Mayer Hawthorne, Big Tone, Ro Spit, Aloe Blacc, Ella, and Sole Deacon. Grab the free download HERE and enjoy.
