This year we shot a load of video footage, but due to some circumstances we never got around to editing it and bringing it to ya’ll. Since it’s almost Christmas and the year has almost ended, we had to go out with some gifts in the form of some video’s. We shot an epic video last summer starring Exile & DJ Day which never saw the lights of day. It was shot at the Rooms of Red Bull where we hosted the Beat Battle at the Rooms of Red Bull together with Nalden. The only reason why this video never got properly uploaded, was because Vimeo decided to upload the footage, but kept on messing up the aspect ratio in the progress. We tried everything and eventually gave up all hope. Luckily my buddy Joao Costa (who shot and edited all the footage) came with a solution and managed to properly upload it to Vimeo at last. Thanks to Alex, Damien, Jonathan and Olski for meeting up with us. It was a pleasure and we had fun talkin’ bout the funky worm.

While outside everything is covered in snow, I thought it’d be nice to shine some light on a warm soulful joint. I’m positive that Dwele needs no introduction, nor does the track he covered here: Dilla’s classic remix of Spacek’s “Eve”. However, I still don’t hear enough people play this tune. Little is known about it, other than that it’s one of many many Dwele tracks that have never officially been released. So just sit back with some hot tea and enjoy!

World renowned sneakerstore Patta from the Netherlands drops a compilation album today entitled “So So Lobi”, which is Surinamese and translates to “nothing but love”. It contains 20 tracks from several of the finest Dutch hip hop artists.
Maikal X a.k.a Shyrock and FS Green teamed up to create the track “Escapade”, which is a bonus track on the album. Shyrock was one of the best MC’s in the nineties and later on in his career, he traded in MC’ing for singing. He was a member of Hollands best selling Reggae group Postmen and especially for the So So Lobi project, X switched his style back and recorded 3 rap verses on FS Green’s production. You can pick up a exclusive So So Lobi copy at the Patta store in Amsterdam and photo credtis go to Patrick Ebu-Mordi and Masta Lee(roy).
