My original reason for wanting to interview him was to hear his side of the story on the “Got Til It’s Gone” situation that Dilla shed light on in the 2003 Dustbusters audio interview. I intended to make it an audio interview too, but the audio didn’t turn out too good hence the transcript. Check it out after the jump.

Philadelphian singer Alma Horton aka Lady Alma is praised worldwide for appearances on songs by King Britt/Sylk130, 4Hero, Fanatix, Rednose Distrikt, DJ Spinna and many others. Later this year she is finally getting ready to drop her solo debut, for which she is teaming up with none other than Mark de Clive-Lowe. Having proved their chemistry in the past with tracks such as “Gotta Be A Way”, “Pressure” and “Running for Nothing” this surely is to be one of the most promising releases of 2009.
During their collaboration on Alma’s original solo debut “Running For Nothing”, which remains unreleased and features production by King Britt, James Poyser and Dego, the two recorded an incredible cover of Michael Jackson’s “I Can’t Help It”.
Mark de Clive-Lowe promises an official release of this tune later this year on yet another project they’re working on together, but for now you can enjoy the snippet below.
Also make sure you check out the remix he did for Yameen’s “Light Of Love”, which is now available on Traxsource and features Lady Alma on the vocals. Mashi also put up a very insightful “Making Of” video for this remix which you can check out here.
