Last month I was checking out some new snippets from Andres‘ brand new “Second Time Around” EP on his La Vida label. Must have dozed off, because the 12″ is already out and available at Clone Records for a tenner. You might have heard another version of “Hart Plaza” before, but this new version has some additional synth work from Amp Dog Knight.

We’ve all been waiting anxiously for Jose James‘ upcoming “No Beginning, No End” album due on Blue Note next year. The wait is far from over, but in the meanwhile Mr. James dropped the “It’s All Over Your Body” EP containing a dope remix from DJ Spinna as and perhaps an even doper remix by Oddisee’s that isn’t on the EP. We urge you to cop this on It's All Over Your Body EP - José James, because Robert Glasper, Chris Dave and Pino Palladino make for a must buy!

Now I’m sure a bunch of you know about Floetry and how the duo split up. Marsha Ambrosius was seen often, but some might have been wondering whatever happened to Natalie ‘The Floacist’ Stewart. She bided her time till the right moment was there to open up her “Soul” again. Really looking forward to her second solo album, so let’s pray that’s it’ll be out soon. [Spotted over at BLS]

Okay let me be frank. I had never heard of The Tony Rich Project before and was told this was some classic nineties ish by a certain little munchkin. Turns out old Tony wrote hits for Boyz II Men, TLC & Toni Braxton (which I never knew). I did however manage to get some new snippets of the upcoming “Speak Me” album which is due to release on Hidden Beach soon. I was kinda in the mood for some sultry R&B, so enjoy these previews with me.

SENSE & Sotu the Traveller are a Dutch-based production duo comprised of like-minded beat creators Daniel Tiuri Wils (SENSE) and Baris Akardere (Sotu the Traveller). The pair began casually producing in 2006, contributing to each other’s projects. In rare extra studio time they experimented, building tracks and eventually developing full productions. In 2010, they officially debuted on Project Mooncircle’s compilation The Moon Comes Closer. Since then, they have enlisted guest vocalists Esperanzah (Numaads, Seravince), Hicoup and Ninthe to finalize their debut Rise & Shine on Austin, TX-based label Beats Broke.

Yesterday we got this email from MPM about S3. I was like what the hell is an S3, but it soon became clear that Miles Bonny and Brenk Sinatra together form Supa Soul Sh*t. The homie Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble has always been a fan of the Funk. We’ve had talks about music a few times and it was no surprise to me that “FunkTropolis” would emerge one day. The EP contains five Modern Funk bangers that will make your ass wiggle fo sho. A must purchase for just $4 if you ask me!

Surely one of the Best Kept Secrets is this amazing Platinum Pied Pipers joint, “Would It Hurt You To Try Me”, featuring Eleuud (also known as Dwele). Wow can’t believe this was already 7 years ago. I used to bump this jam for days! For those who don’t know about this yet, forgot this or anyone really who’d like to hear some real music…enjoy! It was released on vinyl back in 2005 on the “Chop Chop 3” compilation promo, but never came out officially to my knowledge.
