London’s SoulP aka Soulpersona recently released a remastered version of “Soulacoaster” containing some demo material and new remixes. The album features the vocal stylings of Deborah Jordan, Princess Freesia, Replife, Peachy Salthouse, Sibel Thrasher (from the Roy Ayers Music Project) and more. Not much is known about Maseratay, but what we do know is that they’re releasing their debut vinyl 12″ this Fall on On-Point Records. Lionel Loueke started playing percussion like most kids in Benin (West Africa). At age 17 he picked up the guitar and never let it go. His latest “Heritage” album is a collaboration and co-production with label mate Robert Glasper. Derrick Hodge and drummer Mark Guiliana join in to create another soon great Jazz album. For those that loved “Black Radio”, you might want to take a listen to this album on as well.
