This time around I’ve got something from baaaaaack in the day for you. Slept on by quite some heads I reckon, but for me this was one of those joints! Remember Inverse Cinematics from Germany with “B One” which came out via Tokyo Dawn Records around 2004? It had that Vikter Duplaix vibe going on and was released only digitally if memory serves me right. Enjoy this free Lo-Fi lust on your Sunday.

Nice little Funk jam from Moscow’s producer Lapti. Haven’t heard a lot of Modern Funk coming out of Russia, but this is something nice you can groove to no doubt. A new The Future of Funk mix is long overdue, but now we just don’t have the time. Hopefully in a month or two, but until then enjoy this. ‘I don’t need your name, I don’t want your number’.

Get ready for for this amazing collaboration project, between London’s FunkinEven & Detroit’s Kyle Hall, called Funkinevil (pronounced ‘Fuckinevil’). Crazy raw, yet oh so soulful synth-drenched House music that will hurt your neck. The single “Dusk” is out on Wild Oates and features Jon Dixon on keys. This release is available on vinyl only so make sure you grab a copy over at Rush Hour or your local record shop.

One of the slickest Soul crooners of our generation is still Motor City’s Dwele. Loved by many and even though his style became a bit more mainstream each year, he still manages to pull a brand new album out of his fedora hat that contains music for everyone. Next week “Greater Than One” will release on E1 Music and make no mistake…there will be some babies conceived to songs such as “Obey”. There’s guest features from Raheem DeVaughn, Black Milk & Monica Blaire, but find out for yourself what more this album has to offer. Available on Greater Than One - Dwele as of now.

Lots of new music droppin’ left and right, but since I’m not feeling any of it I decided to post something from a few weeks ago. Solid song from Gensu Dean featuring Olivier Daysoul entitled “Wantchu”. This on is available on 7″ vinyl at the Mello Music Group shop or downloadable in digital format for free on Bandcamp.

Sorry for slacking on these Slept on Sundays lately, but here is an oldie but goodie of Pharoahe Monch‘s “Desire” album from 2007. Most of you guys probably have this on repeat already, but I bet a few of you might have been snoozing on this. One of my all time favorites of this album is “So Good” which I put in one of the Glimmering Fractions mixes a while back. Enjoy this sultry jam and enjoy the weather.

So after a few days of sunshine, not checking my inbox and takin’ it easy. I thought it was about time to get back to posting modern day music that I think is fresh. You can say anything you want about Flying Lotus, but there is no denying this leak of his upcoming “Until The Quiet Comes” album (due Oct. 1st) is amazingly nice. Take a quick listen of “See Thru To U” featuring miss Erykah Badu and enjoy life!

OK Let’s start by naming the credits to Diggs Duke new project “Mass Exodus“. Vocals, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, banjo, electric piano, acoustic piano, trumpet, alto saxophone, djembe, shekere, wood blocks, and drums are all played by Diggs Duke himself. Ever since Diggs “Gravity EP” we’ve been following this multi talented artist and he delivers on every single release. So I suggest you go to his bandcamp and support him by spending $3 on “Mass Exodus“.
