The duo consists of brainchild Deshon Thrower and Saoul Bumbu who together bring some new Funk in the form of “Fire To The Flame”. Trust me when we say we are picky about posting music from artists such as Flying Lotus nowadays. Simply because every damn blog in the universe wants to be on that ‘new shit’, regardless of how good the music really sounds. Well in this case we are proud to inform you about this crackin’ “Between Friends” instrumental from FlyLo. It popped up on his Soundcloud page and seems to be co-crafted by Thundercat. Lovin’ the simplicity of the rhodes loop in combination with that sexy soothing bass…on repeat as we speak!

One of our favorite new Hip Hop duo’s used to be Blu & Exile. Now over the years things changed. Blu got signed, dropped a lot of mediocre projects and all the while we where hoping for Batman & Robin to join forces once more. Well that time is now! Back with their new “Maybe One Day” EP on Dirty Science/Fat Beats, they managed to pull another beauty out of the hat. The title track featuring Black Spade is simply gorgeous and I hope more music like this will be made in the future. A full-length album should be on it’s way so let’s keep them fingers crossed. Thanks to DJ Notoya “Nu Funk Classixx” mix, I heard this funky creation from Benedek featuring Pasadena’s DaM-FunK on the vocal tip. Must have missed this one when it came out, so now is the right time to bring this one up again. Hope you guys enjoy “That’s My Jam!” plus the downtempo remix on this late Sunday night.
