So we’ve been warning you about this particular Kiwi for some time now. Watch out now, because Christoph El Truento‘s instrumental “EP01″ just dropped today on the Japanese Wonderful  Noise label. We’ve been waiting for this one for ages, but it seems it has been pushed back a little. No matter, because it’s now widely available on and will also be pressed on wax. Let me get back on a later note with info about where to pick up the vinyl.

Slakah the Beatchild‘s alter ego The Slakadeliqs has released an interesting album today entitled “The Other Side of Tomorrow”. It is a musical journey for Slakah and the result of four years writing, experimenting and exploring different styles of musical influences. He gets some help from his friends Ebrahim, Tingsek and Justin Nozuka on this project which available as a free download and full of feel good music for everyone.

On January 31 Shigeto will release his mini-LP “Lineage” on Ghostly International. This new LP seems totally different from his previous releases/remixes. The compositions are more jazz/funk/folk influenced and less electronic 8-bit blap & subwoofer stress. The 2nd single from the album is “Huron River Drive” and is now available for FREE.

Just received a message from Alisson Fluente aka Finese with the news he just uploaded a brand new joint called “Lembranças” which no doubt translates into something like memories. Now I hear that Florianópolis (Brazil) is one of the most beautiful places to visit, so not a big surprise where the inspiration came from. Just the kinda groove we love to hear on here, so peep it!

Tokyo-based Ovall is spiritual jazz/hip hop band that kinda flew under our radar. The band consists of the following members: Shingo Suzuki (bass/keyboard), Mabanua (drums) and Shingo Sekiguchi (guitar). Their first, “Heart Fever” EP, fuses live instruments with the art of sampling to come out sounding quite interesting. We wanted to share this Slept on Sundays joint “Beautiful Love”, of their debut EP released on Origami Productions which is available on in case you were wondering.
