I heard this track a while ago on Gilles Petersons Worldwide show with Robert Glasper and Bilal. Even searched for it a while, but never found it. Thanks to DJ Rahdu I finally got my hands on the song. Robert Glasper will release an outtake compilation soon. Can’t wait for that to drop since “Double Booked” is one of my favorite 2009 albums. As you might already know Glasper is a big dilla fan, and this new track is another Dilla tribute. The track features Zynzelay, and is a rework of Busta’s “Show me what you got” where dilla sampled Stereolab “Come and play in the milky night”. If you want more of this buy “Double Booked” on ![]()

[...] We’re huge fans of Robert Glasper here at Potholes. You may recall the J Dilla tribute from his album In My Element. I recently came across this tribute track which is a rework of Busta Rhymes – “Show Me What You Got” off his album, Anarchy. J Dilla produced that track which samples Stereolab’s “Come And Play In The Milky Night”. “Dilla Shine” features vocals by Zynzelay to give a soulful and melodic interpretation to an already solid song. Robert Glasper will be releasing an outtake compilation soon. We’ll keep you updated once we hear more on that project. Please give this a spin and let us know what you think. [via] [...]
