Amsterdam-based singer Mar comes from a musical fam with his dad being a musician and also his older sister Ninthe. Earlier this year he released the “Conversations With Her” EP together with Full Crate on Melting Pot Music. His latest project is called “Mar Variations” and the concept is that he basically adds a little extra vocal niceness to an already existing song, instrumental, etc. Louis Bordeaux his “1st Session” was already a gem, but with some subtle additions it becomes ever shinier then before. The third edition of The Gardens is a special one. Our friends Full Crate & FS Green have recently released their Hi-Hat Club Vol. 5: Eggs And Pancakes album on Melting Pot Music and this needed to be celebrated. It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard from the ever so talented producer FS Green, but he’s back with Full Crate as they are on the verge of dropping Hi-Hat Club Vol. 5 “Eggs And Pancakes”. You might have seen this Sam Champ Remix of D’Angelo’s “Left & Right” on 22tracks already, but Mr. Champ emailed us today personally persuaded me to post this. Sam is a DJ/producer from Brooklyn who has done some productions for Kissey Asplund and Selan Lerner. Normally I’m not that big on remixes, but this one has got my stamp of approval. Good friend and fellow Amsterdam resident Full Crate just blessed us with a sick variation he did a while back. He’s been a Def Jam Poetry fan for years and was missing the element of music in many occasions. For this reason he decided to take Floetry‘s “Fantasise” and make his own variation, which turned out mighty fine if I may say so. The homie Myele from Electric Wire Hustle informed me that they will be playing in Amsterdam on Monday 19th at the Sugar Factory.
