As a fan of many of Philadelphia’s musical talents, I was pleasantly surprised with this new joint by twin sisters Ayana and Ayinke, better known as AAries. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from them but I’m happy to announce that they’re currently working on some new material to be released in 2011. Produced by Karma Productions, “Don’t Give It Up” is a smooth uptempo soul track that echoes some of that fine 70’s soul music. Apart from this song, they have also set up a YouTube channel with some great unreleased tunes and you can follow them on Twitter at @itsAAries to keep up with them. Can’t wait for more new stuff!

Can you say Klipmode? Producers Mndsgn and Devonwho are back with 29 tracks of pure goodness. Their album “Episodes” contains a collection of short, but bangin’ beats made between 2007 and 2010. Lots of quality beats on this one so this might just be the best 10 bucks you’ve spent this month.

Bristol producer Ben Dubuisson has been at it for a while now, but honestly I have to say I’ve never heard of this cat before. Early Februari he’s releasing his third album – “Stylin’ Free” – under the name Hundred Strong. We were fortunate enough to get an early listen and the mix of soul, reggae, hiphop and more is rather refreshing. With several features from Detroit’s very own Amp Fiddler, this album is something you should really look out for. To get you in the mood…check out the video for the title track “Stylin’ Free” which is available as a FREE download as of today.

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to give 3 people a Samsung tablet and have them execute an experiment with it. Having seen what Oh No’s capable of with an iPad, I immediately thought of putting my man I.N.T. (La Melodia) to work on a beat. Together with Nilez, we then picked Mar to lay some of his smooth vocals over this banger. I may be biased but I gotta say the guys outdid themselves on this one. You can catch more information on the project here.

French hiphop producer Astronote has been making quite some noise these past few years. I remember his remix for Mayer Hawthorne, which was later included on the album and eversince I’ve been hearing banging beats here and there. Yesterday they dropped “Astromix” which includes a bunch of free downloads. Mostly original productions for Invincible, Marv Won, Ro Spit, LMNO, Magestik Legend, King Magnetic and Shawn Jackson. Also a couple of remixes and some previously unreleased exclusives as well. Listen to it, love it, hate it, share it…get it HERE! Alternative download link HERE.
