Back from a romantic Valentine’s Day, we bring you “Me&HER” from Compton’s finest, H.O.P.E. He has a project coming soon called “I Believe In Hope Wright”. This right here is the first drop produced by Roosevelt especially for V-Day…

Late as usual we missed the whole shebang, but still got to chill with Full Crate, Mar, SirOJ, Joya, Yoji and miss Mountainwood for a minute. I had heard an early leak of “When I Take A Step Back” (produced by Presto) and was semi impressed at the time. After having heard the rest of the album I can truly say this…I’m a fan of miss Mooi! Not because she has the looks, not because she’s a nice person, but because I truly admire the way she comes across as an artist.
One of my favorites is the duet with Mar called “My Day”. Her debut album “Hard Melk” is a soundtrack for the new theater play BH and features almost every single Dutch producer you’d want on your album. Just to name a few: SirOJ, Presto, Hayzee, Wan, Dub Spensa and Crate who kinda put everything together musically. You can check out the entire album over HERE and view her video after the jump. Hurry up and be amazed…

This is the second time KrystalKlear has come to my attention and I decided to let ya’ll in on a little secret. This mystery artist from Belize is going to be releasing his debut release in April on All City Records. Massive synth waves flood the ears and take you back to the Boogie. It’s artists like Dam-Funk that pop to mind when hearing this typical early-’80s boogielicious funkiness. Klear’s productions are on that Neo Boogie tip that only few have managed to produce on a level to my liking so far. Keep your eyes and ears open for more of that f0nk!

The production and song writing trilogy Bembe Segue, Kaidi Tatham, and Dego are joined by the unmistakable vocal sounds of Philadelphia’s Lady Alma. Alma appeared on countless club classics from Sylk130’s ‘When the Funk Hits The Fan’ to Soul Dahmma’s ‘Happy’ and 4hero’s ‘Hold it Down’. Soaring with a distinctive soulful voice from start to finish showing all her versatility and warm spirit, Alma delivers “Two” into a relaxed head-nod-soul-experience. Leaning toward a hip hop sound, ‘Get With It’ features Brand Nubian’s Sadat X under unity and progression. Dego and Kaidi push a warm sumptuous melody driven groove in a way that they only know how. Guest appearance of Musical Director Akwasi on ‘Strawberries In Vinegar’ an instant boogie anthem. Buy the new Silhouette Brown album HERE.

As the digital release of Long Live The Plan has been slightly delayed (now available on Feb 18th apparantly), Red Bull Music Academy London participant Illum Sphere decided to give a track away. Taking inspiration from his favourite Japanese animation film. This isn’t going on any release, so add Hoya:Hoya to your favorites and get this free download.

Later at the age of 13 he fell in love with the alto sax and that’s that. It has been Terrace Martin’s love for the alto sax that has catapulted his career into a world beyond imagination. He has worked with people like Diddy, Raphael Saadiq and Charlie Wilson. Even more noteworthy might be legends like Art Farmer, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder.
Mr. Martin also caught the attention of Hip Hop veteran Snoop Dogg and went on to become his production partner. On Terrace’s new release, “The EP – Volume 2: Lover Edition”, Snoop even pops around to do some guest vocals. Also dope to see Frank Nitt get down on “Go Girl” together with Problem. Did I mention this is a FREE DOWNLOAD? Well it is so enjoy and spread the word to you and yours.

After having heard the second joint called “Window Seat” I was relieved as hell. Now here’s the Badu we’ve been feenin’ for. This one was produced by Badu and James Poyser and has Questlove on drums (who else?). Really looking forward to “New Amerykah Part 2”, which supposedly drops March 30th.
