We met with miss Muhsinah earlier this year in Rotterdam and shot some footage at her hotel. When we picked her up from the airport I asked her about her “The Oscillations: Triangle” album. We decided to get the forgotten footage out and piece together a short video especially for our Moovmnt visitors. Hope ya’ll like it and appreciate the effort we put into this.

Camera and editing by Joao Costa, to whom goes massive respect! We recently got together with Ty in Amsterdam and shot a very interesting interview. If everything goes according to plan this video will be online before the holidays. Shout out to RBMA for picking this up!

Misel Quitno‘s  (Dimlite) ‘Sleep Over Pieces Vol. 1′ was an experiment in recreating retro-sounding electronic / lo-fi music, recorded under the use of a 4-track tape machine and any cheap instrument or object that can make a half-way decent sound.
To then have other people sampling bits off the finished vinyl, was part of completing the concept – and, finally, here is some of its outcome. rushhour

This Friday Mixing Monthly presents: Andreya Triana at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. If you haven’t heard her soothing vocals on the classic “Tea Leaf Dancers” by Flying Lotus, you must have been living under a rock or something. My mans J1 just hit us up via the mail to share some music and knowledge with us. Now Jay is one busy motha and will be dropping 1. a new EP with his homeboy Colin Brown, 2. a mixtape with his band Master Blazter (which consists of Dam-Funk, Computer Jay and J1) and 3. a breakbeat album called “Breakbeat Jones” strictly for producers with drum loops, single kicks, snares and all kinds of percussion. Be on the look for all this and a bag of chips.

J1 – Freeze

The Asian sensation J. Kim (who’s hard work is always appreciated) sent us this new Co$$ joint to hold you over till the release of his first debut album, which is hopefully coming real soon. The track is entitled “No Allah” and was produced by Swedish producer Erik L. No Allah is in no way his proclamation that God does not exist, nor does he mean any disrespect to Muslims or any systems of belief, the song is really about good not being able to thrive where evil is uplifted….If you listen closely the lyrics are more about hypocrisy than Atheism.
