After having dropped five volumes of “Toeachizown” digitally, the physical release is finally here. The double CD with 6p. folder is available now for $16.98! Dam-Funk‘s debut album released Oct. 20th and this double-disc CD contains over two hours of music. The vinyl will be released as 5LP box set, which is delayed due to manufacturing issues. Hopefully that will drop late December or early Januari. We had to share one of our favorite joints with ya’ll, “Candy Dancin'”, featuring Mark de Clive-Lowe on the synths. One of our favorite new soul singers is OliverDaySoul unquestionably! he released the killer “Kilowatt” album in 2008, but hasn’t gotten the recognition yet he deserves. Earlier this year he released a bangin track on 4lux records called “Breathe” which we never posted. So what better way than to bless this sunday with some slept on music. We want you to show some love & support and urge everyone to purchase ODS his music via iTunes. We’re back again with a tantalizing Fulgeance remix! Our croissant loving beat maker hooked us up with a remix he did for Shlohmo, a young cat coming out of Frisco. He recently released his “Shlo-Fi” EP via Error Broadcast and is well on his way to taking over the Bay Area. Now back to this Fulgeance remix. Check out “Antigravity” below and let us know what you think of this collaboration. Soon to be released on FOF Music and distributed by Alpha Pup (as digital EP).

In celebration of Flying Lotus‘s birthday, ArtDontSleep put together another heavy impromptu jam session in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles. This 30 minute take from the jam session features some heavy hitter producers and musicians, including Flying Lotus himself, Exile, Shafiq Husayn (SA-RA), Stephen ‘Thundercat’ Bruner (Erykah Badu, SA-RA), Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (Suite for Ma Dukes), Computer Jay (Master Blazter) and many others.

Also, many of these cats will be featured on the upcoming CMJ Showcase on October 21st at Crash Mansion. Homeboy Deluge will be attending and might keep you guys up to date about what’s poppin’ in NY. It’s almost time! So many have been waiting for Fashawn‘s debut album “Boy Meets World”. In case you’ve been living under a rock or just tuned in to this talented MC from Cali…wake the f*ck up! This right here is the new crack to listening to. The whole album has a feel to it..hard to explain, but it makes me feel like I just went back in time to when Hip Hop wasn’t a gimmick or media thing. Pure nineties Hip Hop music for your enjoyment. You’ll see what I’m talking about as soon as you listen to the goosebump evoking “Lupita” with some slick ass guitar play.

Is it just me or does this feel like listening to cats like Pharcyde? Imma just say it man. Hip Hop is back…yeah I said it! Fashawn and Exile (who tears up the mic on “Bo Jackson”) hit the nail on the head with this one. Artists like Aloe Blacc, Evidence, Blu, Co$$ and Planet Asia bless this album with a cameo…BUY THIS ALBUM WHEN IT DROPS!!

Last weekend Dam-Funk touched down in Rotterdam and tore the roof off! After this Strange Fruit saga, there will be a sequal or as you will a second chance for those that missed out. This time we contacted the fellas from Plat du Jour and told them we were doing a sequal to the DAMN…FUNK!?! promotional mix. MRP and me wanted to dig a lot deeper this time and behold the outcome – DAMN…MORE FUNK!?! – Thirtyfive minutes of nasty, sweaty funk covered with some nu-boogie flavour sprinkled on top. We’re proud to bring you our second Boogie/Funk mix and we hope you enjoy it as much or even more as you did the first one. Chief delivers a groundbreaking collection of collaborations, made between 2005 and 2009, that showcase different facets of his ill beatmaking.
