Fellow Dutchie, Sam A La Bamalot, from Uden is a producer who surprised a lot of people last year with his “A Bird’s Leg” release. Sam’s latest “What Happens When You Sleep” EP on Lomechanik is out as of today. Our favorite joint, “Rapid Eye Movement”, fuses the old with the new and is slighty reminiscent of a time when not everybody and they moms was making beats yet. You can pre-order this 12″ over at Triple Vision or buy it digitally (link will be added shortly).

You might remember Hiroaki OBA from 2010 when he graduated cum laude from the Red Bull Music Academy. Well he’s back with a delicious laid back new house joint in the form of “Distance” of the “Hair People” release on RBMA classmate Thompson’s Hair Records label. Something totally different for once innit?!

Don’t think we need to introduce our mysterious friend Dirg Gerner anymore right? We told you get his incredible “Preface” EP on Ho Tep. Here’s another reason why you should go and buy this on vinyl. Miracle worker fLako remixed “Rubies & Diamonds” and this song is exclusively for people who bought the 12″. Try and look for it at your local records shop, but in case it’s out of stock you’ll have to do with a low bitrate stream for now. Just found a few more of these in stock over at Kudos Records…hurry up and buy (no Menace 2 Society)!

Most of you probably heard of Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In The Attic) from back in the days when that West London sound was filling our ears with soulful broken beats. Now I never heard of Stan Smith before, but this newly discovered MC from Atlanta teamed up with Daz-I-Kue and they made an entire album together. DJ’s are gonna love this, because this funky debut album called “The Get Up Movement” contains some dancefloor party anthems fo sho. Really interesting album coming out later this month on Tokyo Dawn Records (available for pre-order).

I gave it some thought, but decided to post a little something about the new Finest Ego compilation anyway. In all honesty this is one of the least interesting ones I’ve heard so far though. Since it was time for Germany, Austria and Switzerland to represent I had high hopes, but could only find a few mediocre productions on here. Might just be me being hard to please, but all I wanted to share with you guys was this beat from Chief. Much appreciation for the free download, but I hope in 2012 the compilations get better quality wise. Personally I’d rather hear 10 amazing productions than 33 mediocre ones. Free downloads available up till Jan. 6th so get it while it lasts.

Most of you will remember Julien Dyne from his “Pins and Digits” EP from last year. Right before Christmas Julien is releasing his brand new “Glimpse” album on Wonderful Noise. We wrote a little something about the single several months ago in case you forgot. While Wonder Noise is taking care of the Asian side of business, BBE will be suplying the rest of the world. Rest assure there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get your grubby little hands on this release. This will be coming out on CD and digitally. A limited vinyl album sampler EP will drop somewhere in February via WN as well so keep your ear out! For now you can visit Glimpse - Julien Dyne Japan and cop digitally.

A while ago we met up with Zed “Maddslinky” Bias at the Sound Gallery in Amsterdam. He was so kind to do a one hour mix for our Moovmnt Radio show filled with exclusives and sneak previews. If you like that UK Funky/Broken/Garage/Dubstep/Wonkey sound you’re in for a proper treat! Dave drops some fingerlickin’ tunes and we invite you to take a listen. Oh and for you Dutchies…this Friday Maddslinky will be playing at Rampage in Paradiso (Amsterdam).
