As you know we’ve been a huge fan of Kan Sano for many years and are excited to tell you about his latest “2.0.1.1.” release. The Japanese master pianist fuses Jazz and futuristic Soul on a truly mature project. Must buy if you ask us featuring Benny Sings, Marter and Maya Hatch.

I guess when you see the “Gravity” of an “Epic Lie”, one must eventually come to an “Offering For Anxious”. This is exactly what Diggs Duke is doing next month when he releases his album on Brownswood Recordings. Now the true fans of Mr. Duke will already some of the songs in their possession, but there is enough new material on there to give this a listen. Pre-orders are available here.

One of Japan’s heavyweight players, Jazzy Sport, is releasing a super nice compilation that goes by the name of “Pound For Pound” Vol. 3. Lots of tight producers on there such as DJ Mitsu the Beats, Andres, BudaMunk, Grooveman Spot, Sauce81, Samon Kawamura, Cro-Magnon and many more. A preview of the entire album is available on Jazzy Sport’s Soundcloud page and pre-orders are available right here.

Lord Echo is an eccentric and reclusive musician/producer based in Wellington, New Zealand. He played in The Recloose Band and after his debut solo album “Melodies” he has returned with his latest project entitled “Curiosities”. His music is a blend of Funk, Disco‐primed Reggae, futuristic Soul and timeless African rhythms.

Early 2012 the Robert Glasper Experiment unleashed “Black Radio” in to the world. It became highly celebrated and for this reason we at Moovmnt had high expectations of it’s successor. Though “Black Radio” 2 offers a solid seventeen songs with an impressive list of featuring artists such as Snoop Dogg, Common, Jill Scott, Brandy, Dwele, Faith Evans, Norah Jones, Macy Gray and Marsha Ambrosius. In our opinion it lacks the freshness and originality of the first volume. Still we believe a lot of you will love this album and for this reason we suggest you listen to it from beginning to end, purchase it if you desire and enjoy it to the fullest if you can.

After having been in Cali for a few weeks it’s time for some new music again. The Robert Glasper Experiment is on the verge of releasing “Black Radio” 2 and we wanted to provide you with something brand new. Eventhough Chris Dave is clearly missed, we’re sure most of you are going to enjoy the track “No Worries” featuring Dwele. In case you do, make sure you pre-order the album on iTunes.

On my Frisco adventures I’ve been spending a lot of quality time with big homey B. Bravo and got to meet Teeko last night. These Bay Area funksters are also known as Starship Connection and guess what…they have a compilation coming out very soon. With contributions from artists such as Atjazz, Amalia, Tony Ozier, Pomrad, S3, K-Maxx, Blackspade, Bayonics, Rojai and many more. The full compilation will be released worldwide October 15th on double vinyl, CD and digital on Bastard Jazz Recordings and is now available for pre-order. Until that time feast your ears on the “Tempo Dreams” Vol. 2 album sampler.

We have music friends from all over the world and for our “Moovmnt Guest Mix 08” we asked mister Ennio Styles from Melbourne to bless us with some good music. Ennio has an amazing radio show called Stylin’ on 3RRR-FM and his taste in music is simply awesome. Many thanks Mr. Stylin’ for the ill guest mix and much love to Duktus for coming through with some proper artwork!

Very pleased to let y’all know that Terrace Martin‘s brand new “3ChordFold” is out! Now here’s a wonderful mix between Hip Hop, Jazz and Soul all blending perfectly into one. Together with musicians like Robert Glasper, James Fauntleroy, Lalah Hathaway and Musiq Soulchild Martin makes this into a winner. Other featuring artists such as Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa make it more accessible for a younger generation of music fans. A few of my fav’s are “Over Time” featuring Musiq, “Angel”, “Gone” with Robert Glasper & Casey Benjamin and “Triangle Ship” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

It was only yesterday I thought about José James‘ “No Beginning, No End”. Gave that one 1 listen and that was it. This morning I opened my email and was happy to find his new 5-song “Come To My Door” EP. The title track was written by Emily King and the EP contains some crackin’ remixes from fLako, Taylor McFerrin, Oddisee and FaltyDL.
