I know I’m kinda late with this one, but I had to write something about this beautiful “Daybreak” album from London-based musician Hamish Balfour. It’s really an amazing Jazz album of trio pieces with guest vocals from Erik Rico and Tommy Ludgate on Hamster Records. I hope you all enjoy “Believe” just as much as I’m enjoying it right now. Coincidence? I think not. This morning I posted I, Ced‘s new bonus track and what do I spy with my little eye some hours later? Some brand new Hawthorne Headhunters shit! Apparently the guys released a new single containing two new tracks. The first being “If You Were My Baby” and on the flipside “Teleport”. Last week I had to give the guys from Tokyo Dawn Records some due props. I had not always been very impressed with their label, but in the last few years they’ve honestly become one of my favorite independent labels.
